I'll reserve my judgement for when we get in-hand photos of the GT AC Cloud release, but... Assuming they stick with their usual quality, the difference is painfully bad.
Honestly, props to VTS for taking on the FF7 line... No one else was doing so. And if GT wasn't in the market, they're certainly passable figures. Especially with their dioramas. But, yeah... Yikes.

Their remake figure looked better. It's very evident they saw decreased pre-order numbers for AC Cloud because of GT's. This new AC sword doesn't even have a comparable paintjob to their own Remake sword, let alone to GT's AC sword.

How does the GT sculpt look on the VTS body? Never did like the lanky look of the GT body.You mean Frank Jaeger?
I have his HS, and he feet good on VTS Cloud (unfortunatly, my painter painted the skin a little to clear compare to the body, but apart that it's ok)

The GT head is tiny on the VTS body. Eyeballing it, I'd say the VTS head is about 50% larger than the GT head. The two figures are incompatible and out of scale with each other, there's no sense in mixing parts. Everything on the VTS version is larger than on the GT one.

Much like the comparison of the sword, it's like a child's toy being compared to a large scale collectible. The hair is like a half blob, and the face is all wide and undefined.
I honestly don't even think the body is too bad on the VTS figure besides being wildly out of scale in a few ways.

It's an exciting day, my replacement package from KGHobby is out for delivery. I wonder what's inside? I hope it's GT-004 Cloud, but maybe it's some other variant of GT-002 ... or what happens if they accidentally sent me a Sephiroth? That would be a real kick in the pants.

They could be pulling the ol' 'socks in a box' switcheroo. I've read about that one a few times.
Unfortunately, USPS tracking doesn't include the weight of the box, so I can't know for sure, but that would be pretty devastating.
