As to the clothes on ebay, the Aztec pants are pretty much an exact copy of the iris set. The jacket...just stick with the sideshow. The ebay is a little oversized and the pattern is only one color. Here it is compared to the iris run of the lebowski outfit. But get the pants if you're able. They're just like what I have, but for a lot less.
Wow, that sculpt is simply stunning!

Also, thanks very much for the comparison shots of the sweater. Super helpful!

Broke down and ordered the exclusive from SSC and the pants from eBay. Looks too good to pass on and I love TBL. Should hopefully have in hand next week. The pants should be here at the end of the month.

Any advice on the purple v-neck? Can’t find one on eBay
I ordered this one: T-Shirt for PTGTOYS PT-8601 BOYKA Fighter 1/6 Scale Action Figure 12'' | eBay

It's more blue than Purple but I think a bit of Rit dye (which I already have) will bring the purple color up. If it looks a bit muddy, all the better.

It's also just a REALLY easy design. You could probably message any of the people who make shirts for dolls on Etsy and ask if they can make you a v-neck t-shirt- and give them the approx specs.

Just unboxed this figure! Love it in person!
Licenses are truly everything, as I never imagined that I would give Sideshow Collectibles any money in this day and age…but here we are!
Given a choice between a Sideshow figure from a Coen Bros film or a Hot Toys figure from the latest Marvel film…Coen Bros are going to win every time!

Pretty happy with this figure also. The thing I noticed immediately is he's very top heavy. I prefer not to use the stands in my display case so had to get the stance just right so it would not tip over. Dude's gotta ease up on the Cuacasians.

It’s amazing to me. Sorry, $ 39.99 is not cheap to me for a pair of 1/6 pants. I’m sure the seller is making quite a profit. But if he can make a pair of 1/6 Aztec pajama bottoms, why couldn’t Sideshow do it ?

Yeah, I felt it was a bit steep for some pants too.

I actually tried their Make Offer option on the listing. After a few back-and-forth counteroffers, they would only come down to $37.
And then they actually changed the free shipping to $5 shipping. I'll probably just wait till the buzz around the figure's release dies down.

I do think Sideshow should have put more accessories and clothing options for the price point.

I’m sure had Sideshow added anything else they would have raised the price. Really I’m just glad to get the character at all and that it turned out reasonably well going by Sideshow standards. Maybe one of their best releases.
My point is I’m not thinking that designing and manufacturing the Aztec pants and combining with the purple shirt would have been cost prohibitive and is more the iconic look. I wouldn’t expect an extra outfit. I see that as being THE outfit. I don’t know if they had to pay Pendleton an extra license fee for the Westerley sweater, but I don’t imagine anyone would need a license for the Aztec pants.

I agree that the outfit isn’t the one I would have chosen, but I’m still happy to have it at all. My guess is this look was probably easy to put together.

$39 was definitely steep for pants. Less than $250, but still kinda ridiculous.

If you'd like to print and sew your own, just upload the pattern onto spoonflower- adjust to the right size- and print a test swatch for $5. onto spoonflower and print. Sewing this style of pants would be so ridiculously easy.

Here are some basic pattern and instructions :

Or harass an Etsy seller to make you some for $10. But by the time you mail the fabric to them, they mail it back- it is going to cost about the same.

Or you can just be lazy and pay the guy in China $39.

I expect to buy the Aztec pants from the guy in China, but 39.99 is 16 % of the cost of a fully dressed and accessorized figure…..AND he’s got a sweater that may actually be better than the one that comes with the figure for the same price.

Someone earlier posted both sweaters and mentions that the Sideshow sweater is better. There is a photo of both on previous page.

SS modified the pattern on their sweater to avoid licensing issues with Pendleton.

Yeah actually steer clear of that sweater the Chinese seller has- the picture he has up does not appear to be accurate.

Check out the photo included with the above post- the sweater looks amazingly terrible. Which in a way, makes me feel better otherwise I could have just built my own Lebowski from that seller for a lot less than Sideshow's $250.
