Hot toys Snowspeeder Pilot Luke Skywalker

We’ll find out when the part-outs happen (or if someone here has already done it), but I wonder if Hot Toys put all the pockets and details on the flight suit under the jacket.

The code cylinders and commpad won’t be there of course, but I wonder if the pockets for them are. If so, it’d be an interesting level of detail and maybe indicative of future X-Wing pilots.

Yep all the pockets are there on the flight suit under the jacket. The pocket flaps on the legs are sewn down which is a bit annoying.
For me the HT helmet is soooo much better than the SS, better shape, size and better paint job. The only fail is the wierd visor, which is better on the SS helmet. With a bit of work they can be swapped. The chest box and white vest are more accurate on the SS figure, as is the leg flare bandolier and the leg straps. The real jewel of the HT set for me are the boots, they are ace! I've already put a spare pair onto my Luke Hoth figure and they are so much better than the SS vinyl ones. The SS flightsuit and jacket are a little lighter orange than the HT, and the jacket is more padded and bulky. The weathering is on the HT jacket and suit, and some are darker than others from what I can tell.

The first thing I would do with any of the final several years of SSC figs was do a body swap.

None of those later SSC figs - from TIE pilot, ATAT driver and Biker Scout all the way to Luke Snowsp and Lando Skiff - looked good on those original too-tall, too-bulky SSC bodies.

And I don't have this in-hand yet but so far looks to me like the SSC has better webbing straps, knee bandolier, glove sculpts and helmet visor/chin-cup+strap. Also, I'm a huge fan of SSC jumpsuits and not a fan of HT jumpsuits, so will be interesting to compare on this.

I'm disappointed with the ATAT grenade and less than impressed with HT's eye for detail on the grappling gun. It's nitpicky yeah but at the same time it takes no more effort and cost to make it right versus kinda-sorta right.

Still really bummed this comes with the standard Luke blaster, not the correct blaster for this outfit, especially given Ht actually made it, but then for some reason didn't include it.

And this would have been THE opportunity to do the definitive rebel pilot helmet in 1/6 but this to me feels like an 8.5 vs SSC's 7.5 - not the 9.5 it should have been. But again, I'll reserve judgement until I have this in-hand next week.

Found this on eBay...you can see all the pockets and the ones on the sleeves.

So I received an email from Alter Ego that my Snowspeeder Luke is arriving within the next fifteen days. Pretty surprised and didn’t expect it that soon. Glad to be getting it though.

Wow that's awesome. Mine's on order with Alterego as well so hopefully I'll be getting mine then too.

After 6 mos and 5 days, Luke finally arrived 1 day earlier than expected.

The only negatives about using this to make a "regular" flight display is the leg harness and the chest box hose attachment to the flightsuit, don't know if HT will ever make a non-hoth x-wing pilot tho

Just spoke to Sideshow. They have no idea when my order will ship. At least they are honest about it. They said when it ships depends on where you live. They have multiple distribution warehouses and it's pot luck which warehouse gets the delivery first.

Has anyone attempted the headswap with DX07?

Haha. Thanks. Day 1 preorder from Sideshow.

However, I have ordered figures when they become in stock and have had them ship within a week. I live in Kansas too, who knows how they decide when and where to ship.

I guess Sideshow likes me.

Weird. I live 20 miles from Sideshow and my Luke has been "Preparing to Ship" since last Friday. Thought for sure it would ship yesterday or certainly by today. I feel like I may have missed this first batch.
