Looks awesome Mr. E.

Your TOD Indy is absolutely filthy. Great job on that Rzeznikk.
Thank you sir!
Though Kato's Jacket is overpriced it's amazing. I'm working hard with Iris to get the jacket right. I actually found some images that shows the difference between the standard raiders jacket and the stuntman version known as the hero jacket. I believe that's the version everyone has been asking for. View attachment 437925View attachment 437926View attachment 437927View attachment 437928View attachment 437929
Those are some great reference photos!
Why does everyone want the stuntman jacket?

For a comprehensive write up on those wested jackets, check out their blog comparing the two:

That clears up what the differences are between the two. That's not a stuntman jacket.

Also although I own a wested, Bill Kelso Mfg. Makes the most screen accurate jackets around. Their "relic hunter" is unmatched. They also make jackets from the rest of the trilogy.

The "hero" vs the "standard" is outlined pretty clearly in that write up above. In a nutshell, the standard is a more polished version of the hero. Read the write up though.

I think that article is wrong regarding length. Says the jackets are the same. Collar sits higher so back rides higher.

All one has to do is look (at their own picture) at the distance between the bottom of the jacket and the ties at the side to see one is clearly a longer length.

In any event, the longer Raiders jacket, appropriately named the "Hero", is the one I want; the one Indy wears in "Raiders".

That's the jacket that has never been made by any 1/6th customizer yet. Closest is the 2002-04 Sovereign Studios cigarette-stink version.

The hero jacket is screen accurate the problem with length is that in film it's hard to see since he is moving alot. I need to be certain that the length is accurate and isn't going to be question later plus i definitely want Iris to add the pocket slits like the real thing.

There's alot of criticism towards Wested's accuracy. That's why I suggested the Bill Kelso as reference.

I dunno, that Relic Hunter looks short to me too.

If you look at the stills above and pay particular attention to the sleeve length versus jacket length, then look at the Relic Hunter, again the sleeves look too long or the jacket is too short (which I think is the problem).

Also one of the TOD jackets was a Raiders stunt jacket belonging to Vic Armstrong. The one most commonly worn by Harrison in closeup shots is this one.

Just a note that the jacket used in ToD was longer than the Raiders version.

Longer is better in both movies.

My ref that you're referring to does include two shots from ToD along with the three from Raiders as it was made as a generic example of the Indiana Jones jacket (originally used in anticipation of the Yunsil run). Personally I'm not too interested in the many jackets used behind the scenes. I'm much more simple: just give me a jacket that looks like the one chosen to be the primary jacket shown for the majority of full figure shots up there on the screen in "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Sometimes simple is also not always simple, if we try to make it like how it looks in film then it will just be the same as all the others with minor changes. Trust me bro I'm working hard with Iris to have something exceptional made. The length personally never bothered me as much, it was mainly just the color of the zipper not being right. But everyone wants the perfect indy and i want that also.

Nice!

One thing I noticed about Luisenigma's pics is how thin the leather on those jackets is. I've never really seen that mimicked in 1/6 except for the SSC jacket. It might not be totally accurate, but, to me it looks just right for the scale.

The jacket has never looked very long to me in Raiders, and personally I think that looked a whole lot better on him than the longer and looser TOD jacket. I think maybe a 1/4 inch longer than the HT jacket is the most I'd want to see.

Yeah you can see in this first shot that he's a bit hunched over, but the back of the jacket still doesn't look that long here:

Not sure which one this is, but the length on this previous custom looks perfectly good to me. And I wouldn't want to see it any longer than that-- ending right between his belt and crotch.

Well that first picture, the jacket is bunched up over the holster. Watch the scene.

That 2nd shot is a perfect example of the length. I'm not talking trench coat here guys. :lol But its clearly a longer style jacket where the length is nearly -- nearly -- as long as the sleeves. That picture shows it well.

The jacket on that figure in the last shot is a little too short despite being a great looking Indy.
