I might even make him cross streams with Peter Venkman.

Great scott! Might as well have them fight over who gets Slimer in the ghost trap first. A 1/6 roll of toilet paper hangin off their throne would be a nice touch too..with a little piece stuck to their boot. Although I wouldn't be surprised if the Emperor wasn't a wiper.

Why are people likening the robe with a potato sack? Is it really that thin?

I said that because when the robe is fully closed, the seam and texture are reminiscent of a potato sack. Look at the photos several pages back.

Remember half of his face was hidden by shadows that were added in post production, it wont be easy to replicate that

Initially I was 100% getting the throne version, now I’m torn. I just don’t think he looks as good sitting down as he does in a standing position.

I thought that at first but it does grow on you, part of it I think is because most of are so used to figures standing

I KNEW they were gonna ****** up the eyes, I just won a $20 bet...I think the hood is a tad too small, that's what's really making him look off.

Nice looking Emperors... futzing and poses getting better and better. I agree he hood needs to come out a bit more. Can’t wait to get frustrated with mine whenever he gets here hehe

Yeah that looks a lot better there, with the hood pulled forward and down more over his forehead.

Anytime people have the hood simply framing his face, it looks off to me.

Bummer the hood isn't just a bit bigger. The face deep within the hood really is Palps' look. It also looks like the hood folds that sit on the chest could be just a little longer too.

I really have no idea why they sewed the arm seams the way they did - I see them in most pics. Almost like its six layers of fabric all sewn into a wad which just can't flow naturally.

Just got this in hand and initial reaction is it’s a bit of a disappointment. He looks happy from any top-down angle, which I would think is how most people’s shelves are. Top of the detolf he’s still smiling like some jolly old fart.

It’s also a tricky figure to light depending on your display. With top lighting the hood completely puts the sculpt in shadow. A shame as it has nice paint work and great detailing.

I remember being a bit unsure about Tarkin when all the talk was just about hoping he would be made, one part of me was thinking the Emperor made more sense as the one old baddie but Tarkin can also serve as the de facto Emperor in an ANH-centric display. But Tarkin was a stunning achievement and instantly impressive out of the box. Not feeling that with this figure yet.
