That's what you call burn out. :lol

And those aren't nipples, they are spikes. :slap

Nipples....spikes.....whatever they are, Mattel castrated them between prototype and production.

Mutant Leader's Nips.jpg

The Val Kilmer Panther Suit definitely had nipples, not spikes. Joel Schumacher confirmed it. Many many times.

It could be they recognized that but as a large company open to criticism dealing with kids toys, they may have just done that to dodge the optics of others misunderstanding.

I’ll be watching that in a few minutes, that’s the only one I haven’t seen. I was kinda hoping the G.I Joe episode would have some reference to the current 1/6 craze, but there was no mention of it. I’d love to see someone do a documentary on the state of the 1/6 market.

Probably will happen at some point

I just saw the Transformers episode and thought it was well done, albeit trying to hard to be funny. I know Danny O'neil came up with the name "Optimus Prime", but I always assumed he also created the outline for the lore but turns out that was incorrect. He didn't wanted to have anything to do with the toys. :lol

The Lego one is wonky, the go about talkin about they didn't want war toys and then gloss over the 90's era Western and Pirates sets :lol wow...

The funko doc was pretty good also, that Becker dude must be kicking himself

Yeah i can’t believe he sold it off. Funko is a really cool company. Loved seeing Kirk Hammett’s collection.

That was the best part for me to, also for second there was a shot of Tanya Tate...

I wish they talked more about LEGO's own original themes...Space was awesome with Blacktron, M-Tron, Space Police, Spyrius, Exploriens...

Pirates was big in the 90's definitely. So was some of their Medieval themes like Dragon Masters, Royal Knights, etc.

Also the Undersea theme like Aquanauts and Aqua-raiders (Aquazone)

This is a neat series, but I can't help but feel that some episodes could have easily been two parters.... The Transformers and Star Wars ones on particular. These two seemed rather bare-bones to me.

The Star Trek one was interesting. One good part was when they finally hit their stride with the TNG toys, which were beautifully done and sold incredibly.

And the terrible mistake that killed that figure line? Pumping out too many "Exclusive" figures that collectors couldn't get their hands on, and therefore could never have a complete collection.

*cough *cough MEZCO ONE:12 *cough *cough

I enjoyed both episodes too, but agree that they could have gone even more in depth. One thing that I was hoping would at least get a mention in the Transformers episode was that Unicron prototype. They show it several times during the interview segments, but they never bring it up. I know it’s kind of goofy looking, but as a rarity of gen. 1 Transformers figures, it’s still pretty cool.

I have such great memories of that Playmates Trek line. I picked up complete sets of DS9 and Voyager a while back for cheap off the bay. It's hilarious McFarlane announced their Trek figures, only 2 so far, in May of 2017, and they're still not out.

Not gonna watch that one. :lol

Did it mention Keroppi? My woman like frogs and I remember her have some Keroppi items.
