The seam around the chin just kills this piece (along with the price of course)

I seriously don't get how anyone can justify that ugly seam simply to have switch out mouth pieces. Hopefully Hot Toys does make a Jabba without the retarded decision to put the ugly seams on it. Any benefit to being able to change expressions is completely overwhelmed by the resulting ugliness of the seams.

Yeah exactly. I noticed how they kept the camera pretty far away in the reveal video and zero close ups. That's pretty telling to me!

am I the only one who thinks the mouth piece with tongue is a complete FAIL! the tongue does not look bad but his "drool" looks absolutely ridiculous. I wish this time around they just went with a more accurate paint application to the original sculpt i love the tail curl as its more accurate and fits better on the throne aesthetically i like the swap out options and as fr as the seems they wont be too noticeable in person you would prob have to be extremely up close to see the seems. but the drool my goodness it looks like paint splatter.. i dont know something about the sculpt looks great but doesnt look great i cant put my finger on it, the thronw looks good but also looks like tight quarters for the fit against the old jabba throne were the space was evened out nicely for all accessories

I like the size....

I'm not POing but I truly like it... even with the "Pier One" pillows as someone here had said.

Looking at the video reveal again, am I crazy or is that a seam, or is it simply wishful thinking on my part that the tail may be posable to achive the curled look???

I genuinely like it too. Not that bothered by the seams, Crumb is cool, and the pillows are nice. I don't think it's worth $800, though.

Thanks Wor-Gar. I have Bib holding the leash, but he's out of frame.

I'm liking this updated version but with all the figures planned, I'm sticking with the old version. I hope SS parts this out. I need a new Salacious as I sold my exclusive back in Seattle years ago for $25. :horror

I noticed that too, but it doesn't appear in the still photos.

The question was asked during the video, but the tail really is a solid piece and doesn't bend or detach.

However, it's a protoype so things could change, including closing up the gaps for the face plates.

Drat! Thanks for the info though.

I doubt the tail will be posable, all the effort they put into showcasing his features, it would have been part of the photos or video.

This is nice and all, but it won't stop just at $800. How many additional figures will be needed to go around the "slug on a slab" as someone said. Getting this is also pretty much committing to $1000-$1500 minimum, just to make it look half decent.

I'm not a hater, would love to get him, but just can't justify that price. Somewhere like $400-$500 would be reasonable. SS probably don't want a massive number of orders, so are going the high price, low volume route.

In addition anyone outside the US will probably be paying an additional $200 or so for shipping, customs etc etc.

It is encouraging though that they may re-visit other figures like the Tusken Raider.

Pre-ordering. I don’t need. Complete scenes. I get two memorable characters at the same time. Won’t get any auxiliaries. Already have 1/6 han in carbonite and 1/6 Boba. Good enough.

I really like this release. I think it will make an amazing display.

Unfortunately, the price is prohibitive for me.

I think it would look amazing if displayed inside a dark area with some strategically placed spot lighting.

I just can’t get over the fact that this is almost $500 more for something previously released. It looks good yes but we all know prototype to finished product with Sideshow is iffy.

Any good painters out there willing to update our old ones? I love the new Jabba but I'd rather save and repaint what I think is the better sculpt of the two.
