There is a design flow that goes through II, III, IV to VI. Not so much VII. Theres a similar flow of evolution starting at the 45 and going through each suit since.

define what "major differences" youer hoping to see that you dont already? the only things that are close to the same are the feet and hands... and the fact its a red/ gold suit of Iron man armor. do you see no difference in mk 45-46? mk 6-7?

and my OG comment was if you genuinely do not see the difference, then its probably not the piece for you, how is that condescending? your statement of not seeing any difference was pretty bold, so I was skeptical of how serious you were being, but in the event that you are 100% serious then this is not the piece for you

I was referring to your follow up comment to your OG comment:

"if he cant see the difference he is probably in the wrong hobby"

To which, ANOTHER user commented that you were being condescending (which by the way, you are).

"It is pretty similar at first glance bro. No need to be condescending."

If I have to define what "major differences" mean in order for you to understand the question then that clearly shows to me you have a comprehension issue with the English language. :cuckoo:

Also how is the fact that someone is unable to immediately notice subtle differences in detail "pretty bold"??? :slap

Anyways, I see the other fine folks on here such as @crazygmpoker and @Furyan were able to comprehend my seemingly straight-forward and easy question and even took the initiative to answer it instead of being "condescending" on the matter. And for that, I thank you both. :clap

this was my OG comment
but if you honestly cant see the differences then this is probably the wrong collectible for you

and that what was reffered to as "condescending"

my, "your in the wrong hobby" was in referrence to someone saying they loked the same at a glance, and I said if you buy any of they based on "ata glance" your in the wrong hobby... nice mis quotes though

but who here orders anything based on a glance..? we get tons of pictures and source material, not to mention if youre a fan you likely sat through 6+ hours of movies, and one would reasonably think you would have plenty of time to see the differences... Like I said, if he cant see the difference he is probably in the wrong hobby

firstly, there is no "subtle difference" so I am of the opinion that the major differences are apparent (as many others agree) so when someone like you says "show me the major differences" I need clarification, cause you sound like Ken Ham asking for the "missing links".

as for the others posting pics, it does nothing but highlight the differences, and you still claim to see none, so theres really nothing more to be said

clearly this isnt the piece for you or your collection, so great, have a great day :wink1:

Ill just put this pic in here for comparison's sake for you guys. Not venturing into that one :lol On a separate note, I'm just glad I have no desire for Mark 6, as nice as that figure turned out to be, something about the triangle just doesn't do it for me. IV > VI

*sorry, thought it'd show up bigger

With a visual comparison, I gotta say they look very similiar if not identical...

LipSmack, wanna chime in with your expertise on the lack of MAJOR differences? :lol

My post was referring the FOLLOW UP COMMENT as I clearly stated. Clearly reading comprehension, spelling, and debating is not your strong suit.

I also like the fact that you completely ignore everything else I brought up. :dunno

Here you go bro take a peek at Hot Toys MK3 vs MK4 first versions..

Thanks for posting this.

Aside from the paint scheme (which I think is an error on HT's part) and the chest piece, there are no MAJOR differences...

well obviously youre the one lacking comprehension skills as the user who called me condescending was quoting my OG comment, not a follow up one

ill edit my first reply a few posts up with a lengthier reply

Lol I'm not gonna continue arguing...let's just leave it at Mk. III and Mk. IV are identical. :rotfl

Be interesting to compare the colour differences between the die-cast 3, 4 and 6 given the criticism of the cherry redness of the diecast mark 3. The red in the HT 45 and 46 is way too much alike vs the movie.

These 2 are similar more than the 3 and 4.

I like much better refer to colour scheme and triangle of the 6...find it suits the updated armour better.

Yeah those two are great, I think im gunna re watch IM 2 tonight, probably my two favorite suits, though mk 7 will always be my #1

Haha yea this discussion has me wanting to watch part 2 tonight as well. :hi5:

I like IM2...wasn't as good as the original but it is a lot of fun. I like all of the additions, the villain, the suits (wm especially).

Re: 1/6: Hot Toys - MMS?D? - Iron Man 2 - Mark IV Diecast Figure

So glad to see that we get an opportunity to own the Gantry display again. That was one accessory that I was always disappointed to have missed out on and now its back and looking better than ever.

I’m glad I sold my old gantry for nearly $1K a year ago and can buy the new and improved version now for a discount...plus I have more room to display it.

Does anyone know if it fits in a detolf? I just built 14 of them for my new display...but I might need more. 🤷*♂️

Re: 1/6: Hot Toys - MMS?D? - Iron Man 2 - Mark IV Diecast Figure

I'm getting this baby with it's gantry, as i joined the HT bandwagon way too late for the original release.
Could somebody, who's owning the orig. version tell, if the paint app is different? It seems, the new gantry will have more weathering?
thanks upfront!

Does the old gantry have light functions?
