Same with the morons in the Prime 1 Turtles 1990 thread. They are in denial that the NECA ones are miles better than the Prime 1 paperweights.

The NECA figure is far better in terms of likeness, I really don't see how anyone could argue against that. Both sculpts look like Pfeiffer. The PF does not. Same with the turtles, they nailed the likeness on all of them. Amazing when you consider the price.

And yeah, I just scrolled through that Prime 1 Turtles thread. Great back and forth in there, I love it. Prime 1's DC statues are incredible, way better than those Turtles. Wouldn't surprise me if they put out a Keaton that's better than NECA's judging by their fantastic Batman statues so far. But yeah, those NECA Turtles are incredible, I don't see how those guys can't see it based purely on a sculpting standpoint.

There are plenty of statues from SS that I do a triple look at the head and think you paid how much for that?!

But yeah that P1 TDKR statue is insane nice.

Me neither. I tried to but that dusty grey matte finish, lumpy potatoes chest plate, the high riding belt, the turned head, da bat peen, is all no bueno.

I love the Batcave grated steps though with those little magnetic bats underneath. I'd have kept that base (and maybe that gorgeous cape), but ain't nobody going to buy a polystone figurine by itself.

The cowl proportions seemed off to me but that could just be me.

People were like well the boot shoes look nice.

It seems the price tag alone is enough for some to decide a figure or statue is 'high end' while others are dismissed as toys. How come NECA can get the likeness so spot on for $100 and more expensive statue companies can't? Even Hot Toys would struggle to match the accuracy of the Turtles sculpts NECA managed to pull off.

I guess all dpends on the sculptor... Trevor and Jason did the Turtles... Trevor also did West.... I wish Trevor would of done the BVS sculpt he would of hit it out of the park.

I got everything straightened out with Entertainment Earth.... now I can't wait to get this in my collection! Any word on the whip? I have heard it isn't great and I up for the possibly of getting a better one made for anyone interested, but since I don't have it in hand I have no idea.

Specifically I'm curious how the handle looks as well as how the whip proper looks/feels/poses. It seems to me they just stuck a wire inside, yes?
