I asked Randy some time ago about the cryotubes, he said they had no playability. They went ahead with the stasis tubes, not much playability there in my opinion. But with him, you never know.

ask him about why their terminator hunter-killer torso grows out of its own butt, i heard it makes him super angry but he doesn't change anything
who is he anyway? not the sculptor, as Neca sculpts are beautiful. is he the one that orders ****** assembly and paint and ruins everything the sculptors do?

Off topic but tru.com must have found some Pacific Rim figures buried in a stock room, they have Crimson Typhoon and the 1st striker back in stock for $18.98. They still have several version of Gypsy and Horizon brave too. If you guys are looking to get into the PR line this may be your shot at good prices.

Would any of you be opposed to them spacing out the releases of the figures by doing some diorama pieces or some more weapon packs ? Like maybe doing some cryotubes or a weapons cache in the form of a WY logo crate that opens up to reveal some special edition weapons for the marines ?

It'd be cool if they made a revised version of the McFarlane hive victim that came with the queen.

I know it wont happen but you could even pair it with an Apone or Dietrich figure and make it a deluxe thing.

Looks awesome glad they decided to do the Sentry guns in the end, just don't get the omission of the hand grenades - other wise perfect!

I'm glad they included the extra helmet.
I like everything in there, but a version of Frost or Hick's armor without graffiti would have been a cool addition since they have the helmet in there.

Looks great. Would have much preferred more pulse rifle blast/flash pieces over yet another shotgun. What is with them and that shotgun? Only Hicks used it, and anyone interested in this set probably has at least 1 of the Hicks figures.

A holster for the VP70 would have been nice...but beggars can't be choosers I guess.


Edit: Just realized it looks like they used that inaccurate forest green on the sentry guns. Ugh. I hope that is just a trick of the light or a case of them not yet being painted (as their twitter indicated some items werent)

I can't wait to get 2 or 3 of these for sure! What is the white thing below the flame effect? I'm guessing it's a blast effect for the sentry but I thought the muzzle flash on those was more of a flare effect like the one that came with Vas. Randy also said they were going to include a muzzle flash for the pulse rifle but that can't be it as big as it is.

I know this isn't the final version but I don't see stickers/decals on the sentry guns. Might be in for a sticker applying Saturday which I love and hate. Believe me though I'm not complaining

I too would have loved a holster for the VP 70 and for them to drop the shotgun for something else but all in all I'm very excited for this weapons pack.

The flamethrower effect is terrible if I'm honest...just a silly looking flaccid thing. I could do without that and the shotgun in favour of something else.

Nevertheless, this is getting bought. Need those Sentry guns for sure.

Randy has been saying for some time now that they are looking for a better factory when it comes to the paint apps. Clearly hasn't happened. He certainly makes it seem like these are his decisions.

They have a damn obsession with that shotgun piece But the sentry guns do look awesome and am glad they are including two in the one pack.Not sure about the knife being added as I doubt I will use it, but the additional pulse rifle and other add ons make up for it.

Though now I really want them do that Sulaco locker room diorama set piece so I got a place to store all the weapons I won't use at the time

I hope going forward they improve the paint apps and their process from figure to figure. It is the one glaring fault in their production process. They have great sculpts and great ideas but time and time again its the paint applications that are killing the likenesses.

Looks like the Alien 3 creature pack reveal will not be shown at the upcoming NY toy fair, more of an SDCC full reveal according to Randy on twitter, plus does not look like a preview of Resurrection is happening either. Looks like the Aliens weapon cache pack is going to be the main draw for NY.

I don't like bashing figures but that face on the Hot Toys looks goofier to me every time I see pics of it. Like it's sculpted by a blind man.
