Yeah, I get that people want to feel heft because just like statues, people seem to associate heft = quality but when it comes to trooping, that's not always the case. My TIE outfit, which isn't Anovos, also feels like the flimsiest thing ever but has survived multiple troops and comic cons without any problem.

Yeah. I guess u r right. What is a good stand for the helmet. I tired one that I use for Darth and iron man and the tie helmet just flops backwards (back heavy). Thanks!

I sent pics of the TIE helmet Anovos shipped to me.

I'm just waiting now to hear what they have to say. I hope they can replace it.

I mean, doesn't Anovos say their stuff is for wearing. Isn't lightweight what you want when wearing it?:lol

I always though Anovos stuff being able to be displayed was just a bonus.

It's also accurate, and ABS is pretty strong. It'll dent before cracking or shattering and you can just push it back into place. Also thinner doesn't necessarily mean cheaper. It's harder to do thinner at times (and it can afford greater detail, which is why those are some of thinner areas. Don't assume just because it's thin abs that it's done because it's cheaper, it could very much be the opposite.

I think that's been the biggest knock on Anovos' products is the abs plastic. Collectors are used to fancy fiberglass helmets which Anovos does offer. Just can't expect those to be in their $200-300 price ranges.

Well that was a waste of $11 on 1.25" sump pump tubing. Tubing looks good but no way to keep in place on helmet. Helmet opening is much much much smaller. Would need some sort of adapter. Any ideas? I'm more of a plug and play guy

Aye nobody makes fiberglass helmets that cheap

not sure how well it will work but look into rubber expansion plugs

Finally got my Anovos Kylo Ren Premier Helmet and my first impression was that this helmet was "small". But I don't mean that in a bad way. Unlike most characters with helmets, this actually feels like the least obtrusive helmet in a battle or something. There's no oversized feeling that other helmets give and it's actually very damn comfortable. I feel like building a full Kylo Ren costume now:lol

Cool stand. What is it?

What is that bronze-ish color along the sides of the helmet? At first I thought it might be reflecting something gold in the room, but it's in all of your pics.
Then I thought maybe it's a weathering feature from the manufacturer, but I don't see it on the boxart.

It's a velvet mannequin head. It's what I use for my helmets. I like them much better than MR stands or towel holders most people seem to use.

The chrome turns into a burnt metal finish towards the bottom. It's a detail I've never really seen before and need to look into.

Thanks for the response.
I would also show Anovos.
It's very easy getting pics to them. Simply get onto their website and you'll see a live chat pop-up along the right edge of the screen. Click on the little gear in the chat window and you can upload pics straight into the chat window. The rep you're chatting with can then forward those pics to the appropriate staff.

Thanks. What did u use the the black shiny base? And how did u attach head to it?

Got a mannequin head for tie pilot. Figure out how to attach hoses (simply cut and fold over the end on itself and it will go into hole and stay in place) AND my neighbor gave me a chest box!! Hope to set it up tonight!!
