Overall it's just great to finally be able to display Hagrid with Harry, Ron and Hermione!
Nice shot. I'm going to pick up a Hagrid in the next few weeks. The hair plugs had given me pause, but they don't seem to be an Issue. I still think Ron and Harry might benefit from repaints.

So...I'm pretty close to diving in to this line now. I'm trying to finish out most of my hot toys preorders before I really commit(I've got one payment left each on 4 different figures) then I plan on cherry picking some of the teachers and villains and getting maybe one each of the main trio. I'm thinking of starting with Voldemort as he's been out awhile and I doubt they'll do multiples of him. I read Michael Crawford's review which makes me feel good about getting him. Is he in any danger of being in short supply soon? How big of an hurry should I be in to get him? He's been out awhile and I don't want him to be sold out. Other than him I probably want to get Snape, the Harris Dumbledoore, and maybe Mad Eyed Moody and one of the Sirius Blacks. When they do the year 5 or above of Harry,Ron, Hermione, and Draco I'll get those(don't care for them as children figures. sorry). And if they make them I want Lucious Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange.
I finally got around to opening my Harry, Ron, and Voldemort (bit late, huh?) and boy am I sad I didn't open them sooner. They are amazing! These just don't photograph well I think because photos aren't doing them justice. I'm so glad MWC's recent reviews of Hagrid and Dumbledore bit me with the Potter bug again. Now I've got Hagrid, Snape, and Moody all on their way. Going to be ordering Sirius, Dumbledore, and Hermione very shortly. With Hagrid seeming to dry up very quickly, I'm hopeful the line is still going to be going forward strong. I'll be adding that standard robes Malfoy as soon as he's up. I collect waaay too many things so I've got to keep variants to a minimum and the Quidditch uniforms isn't something I'm too keen on.
I'd love to see Lucius and McGonagall sooner rather than later. All of the DAtDA teachers are a must, but Lupin is another I'd like to see sooner (plus he'd go great with Sirius). I hope they get some more creatures out as well like Dobby. Just stay away from Aragog.

So...should I start with Snape or Voldemort? I'm very torn. I love both but Snape is my favorite character. Then again, Voldemort has been out longer and i'm afraid of him selling out. But then Snape hasn't been out as long and he's only available for 2 flex pays instead of 3 which to me suggests he maybe selling out quicker. Who should I get first guys? I'm really torn.

I'd get Voldemort first and then pick up Snape later. I reckon you'll get Snape cheaper in the long run, it wasn't overly well received, so I can see the price dropping over time.

I'd get Snape first personally - although I am a bit biased as he is my favourite Harry Potter character!
I have them both and they are both cracking figures so either really is a win-win.

None that I can see (or found yet) - you can't go wrong with either of them I reckon. Plus Snape is easily the best HP character (IMHO of course
) and Voldemort is the main baddie - so you need them both in any Potter collection. Here's a quick pic of mine together....View attachment 275425

Is Star Ace doing DC TV shows now is my main take away from that picture, because I can't spot Hermione any where.
Interesting. Star Ace really seems to be aiming high with the number of licenses they are picking up. Hopefully it works out for them.

Hmmm...hard to see. Is that little tiny pink outfitted figure in the background Hermione? I really want an Order of the Phoenix Hermione (well, I want an order of the phoenix of all three of the trio. I want them as older kids but in their black robes and I feel that's the best film representation of them as the last 3 films seemed to focus on them more in regular street clothes).

I'm probably gonna end up getting both of them for sure. Right now I'm in a slight holding pattern on getting any figures. There's a lot of announcements lately and I'm trying to wait a couple of weeks to see some more reveals from all companies before I do all my preorders for the back half of 2016. I promised my wife I'd cut down on this stuff so in order to do that I need to slow down and plan better. The first half of 2016 and the back half of 2015 I was making some kind of payment to Sideshow nearly twice a month lol. I have to start slowing down a bit. I've currently slowed down cause every figure I've been paying on right now has been delayed a couple months. But come next week, I finish out Nick Fury then Rey a couple weeks later. Between Rey and NA Scarlet Witch is when I plan on sneaking in these Potter figures, perhaps earlier if I can budget it correctly.

Yep, that's a good strategy! It's so difficult to plan when it comes to collecting, especially during the 'convention season' - what with all the announcements, surprises and everything.
I'm now only getting the figures that I really really like and am trying not to 'double up' too much on the characters that I already have. Hopefully you will be able to find a good deal/price on those two figures tho when you do come to get them - which will help, I waited it out on most of the Potter line and picked up some decent deals in the sales!
