Agreed. For a couple of months after shipping the Green Hulk was pretty widely available for retail or a little less. After the initial rush cleared out I think the prices started steadily increasing as fewer and fewer owners wanted to go through the hassle of shipping a huge 57 lb box through UPS and less and less started appearing on ebay.

Hulk rarely if ever sold below retail after release. He was never on second chance. He was an all around better PF.

The Thing sucked...it really wasn't at all that impressive in my opinion combined with the shoddy paint job. Plus the Thing isn't near the level of popularity of the Hulk (who also had one of the best PFs in the line).

It is pretty hard for a company to consider giving up immediate profits for an undetermined long term gain. The Thing Regular PF sold out for SS, so you are asking them to sell less and make less money so that the resellers can make more. It is very difficult to determine the optimum point between current sales and substained sales.

Yeah as long as SS sells out then why would they care about aftermarket value. Maybe in the long run though, people will avoid statues from SS with a high ES. I know I already do because it's easier to find them later for much less.

That one that sold for $199 is pretty crazy since this thing retails for $300 plus. I am glad I cancelled still because the paint job really ruins it for me. I hate the pink stripes that are evident in most pictures. The Hulk's paint was rarely questioned no matter how bad the picture was- it was/is excellent.

I am glad I returned mine and got full price back including shipping. This thing is not worth what sideshow charges.....hell I don't think it's even worth $200.
