Let me guess, you love their strategy of unimpressive discounts and asinine social media incentives for prizes this year.

You don't have to be a business expert to know that SSC is not kicking ass during this year's Spook. Last year it was poster after poster on this thread saying "Picked up _______ because the deal was just too good." This year it's "15% off? No thanks. Deals were better last year."

Last years spool was better for you. Do you know the margin on the figures that show those big discounts you expect make business sense? Do you know how well they did financially last spook? As far as what spook is it seems to be doing great. They are getting tons of exposure. Getting thousands of people to give them free advertising in hopes to get a free figure. But your right you didn't get huge discounts so how could they know what they are doing.

Why would they put massive discounts on figures that have hardly been out? Matrix wasn't released that long ago and I know some wanted discounts on Rocket and Groot 2pack. That set only shipped a few months ago.

I get people expecting discounts on stuff a year old or more, but discounting stuff that's pretty new will only lead to people no longer preordering and waiting for Spook to get it much cheaper.

Yep back in the day we suffered through deals on 4ft Frank and Van Helsing year after year. It actually was kind of disappointing when they were gone as they became a staple of spook.

No, unfortunately. My costume this year is Star Lord, but one of these years I need to make an Eddie costume.

Well I hope you have a blast!!! A lot of adults will dress up for those in drag and all . They are fun events and I think you will enjoy the fun vibe.

Does anyone know the details of the Star Wars license that Hot Toys acquired? Which characters are HT allowed to produce compared to SS? It's interesting that Lucasfilm/Disney allows 2 companies to share the 1/6 license.

That's the best person to give a prize to though .... It's a addiction . The first time is always best free



That being said , I'm happy people who might not have funds to get as much or any as myself or others can maybe get a taste ....

I'm happy with the 40$ off my next preorder or combined with the 900 pending I have towards a falcon cockpit at some point , or the shot ton of FA that is to come ...

The Facebook group is kinda annoying with the people trying to knob the mods every chance they can. But some people are having a honest good time , though I'm not accepting "having the most fun I've ever had " as acceptable. Just NO.

But I think even if it's a bit short from other years that y'all have experienced it's still a neat event/promotion over all .


Think the lack of sleep for 5$ that doesn't even show up is a bit much , but that's my choice to stay up or wake up to check ...

I don't think they will release that information to the public. I imagine SSC and HT have worked it out amongst themselves to prevent overlap of the same figure. That being said they have both produced a ANH Luke, but they're different looks.

I don't know it , but it's probably safe to assume both have no restrictions in competition to eachother . But for dividing profit for business purposes I'm sure they discuss and spilt it up so they can make the most of a "era" and rotate after a time offering different exclusives or features . I.E boba , Vader , ect ...

They both can send in the same figures for approval. It's up to LFL to determine what they can release when.

It's been that way for long time. Medicom shared it with SS. Technically is Hasbro that allows it since they contractually have the rights to 1/6 and they sub it out to SS/Medicom/HT ect...
