Can you share a pic? Would like to see the type of damage that has occurred, if possible.
imagine his vest melting away by heat gun, and dripping a clear oily fluid as it did....

I suspect it might have as much to do with how they're manufactured. Could be something as simple as one guy at the plant processes the rubber correctly and another doesn't. I've had figures with rubber that had issues, and others that didn't - sometimes even two of the same figure where one was fine and the other wasn't. I've long suspected there's more going on here. It's the same with Captain America shield - some flake and some don't. If the processes aren't done correctly, you're going to run into issues no matter how nicely you keep them. Just my suspicions anyway.
I take it he isnt posed at all...
lol "Shinny" The visual is hilarious. We still dont know if its rubber, might be cloth with shinny texture
I have every figure that's got rubber in it and I've had no issues. On any one of them. Here's a quick pic to show I have them. Yes some of the early figures had some issues. But it's not super widespread. I've had three comedians and not one had an issue. Two ed209 no issues. Dx02,dx12,leonidas,hellboy,Rambo, rocky, drago, cloud, 89 batman, thor LA, mr. T...hot toys has released hundred plus figures with rubber parts. If it was anywhere near as bad as some think hot toys would never have grown. There wouldn't be 20 of each figure in perfect condition on eBay every day...

Your upside-down post negates your validity.
How do you get your boxes to float on the ceiling? Seems to be a very effective storage practice.
confused... pic looks normal to me..?
I see the door on the right side with a good foot or two to the roof... I think the problems with you guys
You on your phone?
Pic is fine For me but saying your figures are all fine in boxes doesn't exactly show that there isn't an issue.
Look to the left, backwards writing on the wall.
On the top you can see floor boards.
Plus the transformer on the bottom right is upside down as well.
