Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

Network television has the problem with having to produce so many episodes a year. The X-Files had 24 and 22 episode seasons every year and compare that to all the cable shows, who have 10 -13 a year. No wonder there are more bad episodes or so much filler in network television.

With 6 episodes, I hope they can be tightly written with a real focus on where the story is headed.

I don't know where they are going to go with the I Want To Believe storyline seeing as neither Mulder and Scully were actually in the FBI at that time. I don't know if they would just disregard this film or establish in the first episode how they end up back in the FBI.

I want to be super excited about it but I'm nervous too. The fact it's only 6 episodes though gives me hope.

That had to be a blast. I hope that this final season spawns a few decent collectibles. I bought the SSC Mulder & Scully figures for my Wife around 10 years ago which were great for the time but don't really hold up too well by today's standards.

It certainly was and I hope it spawns some new collectibles too! :rock

Well, that could be the story. How two retired agent are forced back in the field because of unprecedented event!

Well, what I'd like to know too is how (if) they are going to tackle the December 21, 2012 invasion that never took place!:lol

Maybe they will set it in 2012 if they wished to continue that story?

Wait, when was the last movie set? Didn't that come out more recently than 2012?

Google was my friend - 2008! Didn't think it was that old.

I swear Gillian look hotter every year.

I don't know why but Duchovny keeps looking like hell since "I Want To Believe" yet he looks fine in Aquarius.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

So is the original show still canon? Because that show ended with Mulder as a fugitive and an alien invasion in 2012.

Also, don't forget John Munch from Law and Order SVU. At no point in SVU's last 4 years did Aliens colonized the earth. That's right, Law & Order, Homicide, Luther and the X Files occupy a shared universe. :lol

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

I have no idea, I enjoyed "I Want To Believe" as a lone story but I hate how it downplayed Mulder's position and acts like it was just the FBI having a beef with him and they're over it, um, no, and alien invasion force was after him and not likely to give up. I'm most curious how this mini series will bring back CGB, I'm guessing flashbacks since he was unquestionably dead at the end of the show. I'd like to see Krycek back somehow too, glad Skinner will be back, it's not the same without him. I'll also add, if the lone gunmen could show up somehow, that'd be great, their cameo in the finale was perfect.

Anyone else wonder what became of Reyes and Doggett?

Anyone else wonder what became of Reyes and Doggett?

I hope they got together. Reyes liked Doggett and he felt the same way. However, according to X-files season 10 issue 2 comic
For the next ten years Reyes worked with Doggett on the X-Files until 2012, when Doggett went missing after an oil rig explosion caused by the mysterious Acolytes following Scully's kidnapping by the same people. On issue #18 they explain where they are, but I didn't read it

And the comic is official canon.
