I'm really eager to see the final X-Plus 2014 sculpt, I probably won't be able to afford the figure but the one sculpt shot showed a lot of promise.

Thats the figure I was waiting for and can't wait to see how the final product looks. I mean after him, im pretty much complete on my zilla collection (except for '84). At least fot the nect year and a half or so.

I would love to add the X-Plus '84 at some point but they're so damn expensive now, and who knows, maybe a Sakai '84 will come from X-Plus at some point. I wonder what that's about, do they plan to release more Sakai work, if not, why that one random piece, it's very curious, but Sakai's '84 is my most favorite '84 sculpt ever and to get that at 12" instead of 8" would be incredible.

I'd imagine we'd see '84 again in some form or fashion whether at 30cm or Sakai. They have to know its very sought after.

Well we already got the 10" and 12" '84s from X-Plus so other than Gigantic Series or Sakai, they're likely done, I had the 10", needed money and it was a bit of a boring sculpt so I sold it, couldn't afford the 12".

This was mine that I sold, I had a friend repaint it and fill in the gap between the lower jaw and neck, but the pose was too bland for me, it reminded me of just one shot in the whole movie which is when he's walking along with the train in his hand.

The head on the 12" X-Plus is just pure perfection, I want it for that alone.

From the neck down it has issues that bother me but overall, it's a good pose for him and captures the spirit of that Godzilla, all that plus the size and my biggest '84 being only 8" tall make it very appealing, the cost is just the issue, maybe if Diamond re-issues it.

With '84, anguirus '68 and a few other monsters I cant imagine they wont try. I dont remember if they got Rodan and Titanosaurus yet?

It seems like it's a successful business venture so unless X-Plus wanted out, I can't imagine why they wouldn't keep it going, especially with a new Godzilla move every 2 years for the forseeable future, he's going to be popular for awhile.

I don't even care if the re-issue is sub-par, even if I get the original X-Plus I'd have it repainted.

Ok so I got the 89 X-plus today... I don't know if it's been discussed but his head tends to be tad pointy... I have seen a few complaints on Youtube about the same thing...

anyways... I just used the blow dryer on top of his head... Placed my finger on top, pressed, left finger there and ran under cold water.

Not the best pics but it improves his look in my opinion.. Gets rid of the point and makes his face fuller...

Question is... Will it stay??

So far so good.

I actually heard that Diamond's license was done at the end of this year. (TohoKingdom) :huh

I've realized what it is I don't care for in the regular X-Plus '89 and same goes for the '84. For whatever reason, the sculpts took the forms of the suit and almost gave it an idealize look, like they said ok, what woudl this look like if it weren't rubber and saggy. Which is ok, but like it or not, saggy qualities were trademark of early Heisei suits and defined their look, an area Sakai masters, he embraces those nuances.

Does anybody else have one hip that seems to be pushed in and one that seems more pushed out on their 24" head to tail Neca Godzilla? Mine only seems to stand at an angle because of it.

I've read a lot of people have the joint pretty firmly in a position like this, good new bad news, the joints are pretty tight on the figure, with some play you can get it move around though, I got the thighs on mine to line up with the hips so the textures flow right and it looks great.

I pushed the leg in and it sort of lined up better. Now he stands up straight at least. Thanks.

If you have the 12" HTT, I'd play around with the legs on that one to get used to the joint, I'd posed mine around a bit before getting me 24" HTT, so I was ready for posing the bigger one, it's tougher and a bit more limited but the same overall.

It's supposed to appear pointy cuz of the crest fin atop his head......
Otherwise you change how it's supposed to be.....
