Re: Spooktacular 2014

Awesome contest! I'm going to sleep now. I think I know two of them but this is a contest I know I'll never win lol. At least I already have the capturing archetypes calendar :)

Thanks! Actually its the Capturing Archetypes book.
I think I'm hitting the hay, too.
Night all. :wave

Re: Spooktacular 2014

Got B10, but only because of my epic skills. The second one is difficult for me and probably going to require a guess. I'm 80% certain my first instinct was wrong and 99% sure that my second one was. I'm trying to conceive a third idea now.

Re: Spooktacular 2014

Don't get me started on this. When he won that Big Baby Replica, he and I answered at the same time. Mine was proper spelled and punctuation, his wasn't. Myself as well as a few others saw my answer come up first but they declared him the winner because they said he came up on the screen first. Another kick was that the whole week they kept enforcing that the answers had to be spelled correctly and even disqualified a few people from other contests because of it. Apparently this time it didn't matter, but they never stated that until after it was over. I was angry about for a while but eventually just let it go.

That was exactly how I won my Galadriel PF in my first Spook...I was the 2nd person to answer, a split-second after the first person, but I had the answer fully spelled out correctly (I think it was the movie title, I had said "The Lord of the Rings:Fellowship of the Ring" and the other guy had said just one part of it). I pointed that out and the person running the contest (Chicky?) said something to the effect of "You know, you're right, you win one too!"

Caught her on a good day, I guess.

Re: Spooktacular 2014

For my third (final?) contest, I have compiled a list of horror movie sound clips.

Really neat contest idea averagejo!

However, I can't listen to sound clips while at work, so would be way behind, plus I'm not really that excited about either prize, so I'm bowing out.

Have fun folks!

And get ready...I hope to have this years Mort patch prototype ready to reveal, so my first contest should be soon.

I'll be doing them here and in chat.

Re: Spooktacular 2014

First day back at work this week but already don't think I'm going to last the day. My back is already twitching so sitting at my desk/standing isn't going to make it any better.

Cool contest, averagejo! I don't think I'll be able to get many of them but I'll give it a shot.

Re: Spooktacular 2014

Really hard getting involved with contests from over the pond.
Receiving or giving prizes via mail is impractical.

I might do something for a $25 PayPal Gift later if anyone is interested :huh

That's actually a good idea. To give gift cards or credit even overseas. I was gonna do a contest for oversea freaks, but shipping was crazy for just a blu ray movie :thud:
