I read an article in some dog turd magazine in the UK called Games.

They didn't even know that Big Boss was a separate character to Snake. They totally merged the characters into one and genuinely believed it had been that way from the start, obviously highlighting the fact they knew nothing about the franchise.

I don't understand why magazine companies and sites let people who have no idea about the game, write the articles. Anyone who knows even the basics of the franchise will read it and be like wtf?

It makes no sense, why write about something to tell people information when you don't know basics?

Also, I found it funny, someone was commenting saying that without 'David Batter' this series is nothing, haha :lol If he's going to be unhappy that he isn't Snake he can at least learn his name :lol

Dead-Man has the game in hand so i think it may well be part of the game if he's saying so.

I agree he will and should always be known as Big Boss. Snake is a different character completely, i thought that was kojibro's reasoning behind distinguishing the 2 as separate characters

I'm sure it's not, it doesn't have his name come up on the trailer or intro. Plus it's wrong, he isn't formerly known as Big Boss, he was, is and will be known as Big Boss.

First he said "Call me Big Boss" at the end of PW, now he wants to revert back to "Snake" Geez, no wonder motherbase got blown up taking orders from this senile old man.

Dead-Man has it? Apologies then!

Formerly known as Big Boss makes no sense whatsoever. He still gets called 'Boss' and he asked to be called Big Boss so 'whatevs' Kojima.

That is from the game.

He doesn't forget it, sometimes he makes "necessary" changes to tell the story he wants since he doesn't have a whole story for the franchise already written.

Calling him Snake was one of the most unnecessary things to do, considering

There was nothing necessary about it.

If you argue the VA change was necessary to distinguish between Snake and Big Boss, then so is the name change.

Also where he is in the series right now. He's already got the ending, so he knows where it should end up. No excuses for sloppy writing.

:exactly:

I've been saying it for almost a year now, that the reasoning for changing the VA but not the name is completely hypocritical.
