GL was made to display with Sinestro, end of story. He's got an action pose which doesn't fit with Supes and Bats ad he's slightly smaller.

I don't really care since I don't plan on getting GL but I think his point is valid. If GL is a PF it should at least fit scale wise even if not pose wise. Like Wolverine PF goes more with Sabertooth PF but the scale is correct and thus fits with the other xmen PFs. If GL was announced as a 1/5th comi than sure scale should be different. But as a PF, he should be close in size to bats and supes. He looks like poison ivys size or possibly smaller.

Great pics guys, one thing I am very concerned about the disproportion weight and lean. Be very careful with displaying this statue. This to me is more important to address than the armpit.
I suggest some earthquake putty on the base to secure this statue.

Absolutely right. My base had all 4 rubber cushions in place, but once the statue is set up it will have a tendency to lean to his left. I solved this py placing 4 small round felt furniture cushions between the sideshow rubber cushions. Absolutely no leaning after that.

I'm not debating that they don't look good together. I'm not telling you that you are wrong in passing on GL because of the scale issue. What I am saying is that GL is not in 1/5 scale. I can say this with certainty because I own him and if you display him next to any 1/5 piece, he is larger than it. All I'm saying is he is not 1/5 scale. If someone doesn't want him for whatever reason, that's cool. I certainly won't be displaying him with Bats. That doesn't make him a Com.

As mentioned above, GL was meant to be displayed with Sinestro and whatever other Lantern characters they come up with for that line.

Anyone freaking out trying to track down a GL now because they want a full Justice League is making a mistake. Even more so if they are overpaying for an exclusive. It will not look right when displayed together with the other JL PF statues.

Sideshow will most likely do a classic GL PF in museum scale at some point. Edition size of the current GL statue are low compared to Bats and Supes so they can go back and milk that classic Hal Jordan GL a little more.

I never said he was 1/5. Just that he looks terrible next to Batman. I am a Green Lantern fan so I am saying this out of disappointment. I wish he was the proper scale to display with Batman and Superman.

Well I plan on displaying Green Lantern with Flash since there buddies. So I hope Flash is somewhere around the same height as GL. Regardless both Bats and GL are fantastic statues congrats to anyone who owns them.

We can assume that Sideshow understands that collectors want their stuff to match up. Some of us would rather get the DC Direct PF. Squirrel and all.

Collectors voted with their dollars when they saw and not preorder the GL "PF". That's why that ES is lower than the other DC PF pieces. Let the Gore Group take a crack at it and watch the sales roll in.

No you didn't say he was 1/5, CBG did. However, it would probably be better to say that Bats should have been a true 1/4 piece. That also would have made them much easier to display together. However, I'm glad Bats is massive. I'll display him with the Trinity and put all the rest of the JL members on another shelf so the scale difference will not be as glaring. I did that with my Spidey Com. He's way too big to put next to my other true 1/4 pieces. I'm glad I have him all the same even though the fact that he's slightly oversized causes some display headaches.

I second that solution, mine wouldn't even stand on his own until I put the extra "feet" in place. Now he feels solid!

If you look at completed listings, someone sold his for $600.

I saw a completed listing for a Batman Ex for $150. That's a bit insane.

Probably a deposit. Lots of people are now taking small amounts for a deposit to avoid fees on the total amount.

You are correct. I also saw pics of Cap next to the Deadpool PF and Deadpool looks smaller next to him. According to Marvel, they are the same height. That doesn't mean the DP PF isn't 1/4 scale. Most of the older Marvel PFs were larger 1/4 scale pieces. It added to the epic feel of the pieces. SSC obviously wanted Bats to have that same feel. I'm glad because I think it really adds to the statue.

I think SS current GL is not for Justice League, but for its own line.

I really hope we get a GL pf, I really want to complete JLA team!!

I am one of the first guy who saw the proto of GL and I always think it is a great piece so I wouldn't mind the difference of height besides if you think to assemble
of JLA then some of the members's pose could be more action than museum to create a dynamic composition. For example I want Flash to be in action rather than museum...Just my thoughts

Flash in an action dynamic pose is ok, but they shouldn't try to portray "fast". Don't need him adjusting boots or gloves, but also don't need blurry acrylic trails or anything cheesy like that.
