Without a doubt this figure looks great and I see a lot of custom possibilities with this figure.
I was away from the computer for more than 24 hours and missed out.
Hopefully I will be able to pick one up off Ebay at a decent price. If I can find one at like 30 to 40 bucks I might pick up like 4.
I like having officers for the troops, like Cobra Officers for the troopers make it feel more realistic when I play with my toys. I mean, when I used to play with my toys as a kid...

At only 3k pieces and a quick showing and sellout while most were at work, the fleabay prices might be interesting.

I don't know which is worse. The ones complaining about this new figure or the ones complaining about those complainers. Because some are getting so defensive like Sideshow is a member of their family or something

Such defensiveness is only necessary in the SW forum.

Head over to RS if you want the real b!tchfest.

IF YOU'D BEEN HERE LONG ENOUGH, YOU'D GET TIRED OF IT TOO.

I know a lot of collectors want the core characters. But I am completely happy with the secondary ones when they are done this well. In fact...the workmanship is far more important to me than the choice of characters. I, myself am actually kind of tired of Darth Vader. He is not really that badass with his limited range of motion for lightsaber fighting due to his protective armor, he can't use force lightning either because of it...and hell...he can't even LIVE without it. In the words of the immortal Cartman...weak. Give me the Imperial officers and Hoth rebel troopers ANY day!

Here is the best post from RS:

Haven't been to that nazi kiddie board since I was banned, by some n00b moderator that wanted to flex his new power, for calling someone a nut swinger :lol:lol

How old are most of the Star wars fans here and RS ? just curious. :D

You know, this whole mess has me realizing, a vast majority of Star Wars collectors seem to have a view of expectation from a company with regards to offering and quality and such, and if expectation isn't met it becomes like a horrific tragedy. Over the past few months, I've been fairly involved in the ALIENS, Terminator, and Batman threads, and in those areas, I find people are more laid back, waiting to see what comes next, and just taking each piece all in stride; there are pieces people want to see, like an ALIENS Queen, but in the mean time they're having the time of their lives with the figures that have been made. It seems weird that collectors of properties with smaller collecting bases and less products find more content than is seen over a property that has an unimaginable amount of products dedicated to it going back 30 years.

You pretty succinctly summed up the issue here. I hate to make a broad generalization, but after spending a lot of time of the RS forums before heading over this way, there's a serious amount of negativity that comes from Star Wars fans if they don't get what they feel they deserve.

Sure I was hoping the announcement would be Vader, same as anyone, but it wasn't and so that's that. It didn't ruin my day nor my thoughts on Sideshow. I still saw a cool figure, just not one that fits my collection scope, so no worries. But man, some people have serious venom over this. It's kind of surprising.

Like any property with a strong fanbase (comic books or Star Trek) I guess there's going to be a point where those that are really into it, feel a sense of entitlement. People get pretty venomous over comic books as well, sometimes to the point at which you wonder where their enjoyment in it lies.

And good for Praji - he sold out! He's going to be an awesome addition to collections once stormtroopers start showing up - you know everyone will want one once there are troopers to kick around.

That's how I feel. I just take it one announcement at a time. I like it all and it makes collecting fun 4 me.
