Re: Remy's Toys! Current Inventory starting on page [94]

I was able to get a rare Twilight Magic works 1/6 scale chrome gun on ebay and gave it to Leon.
The gun is awesome, it has a functional slide that is spring loaded.
the gun has a nice weight to it.
Here's a video of it in Action:

I also added fake hair on Leon's sculpt to make him look closer to Resident Evil 6.
I also switched him to a TTM19 Muscular body.

Hot Toys Captain America: The First Avenger

This one reminds me a lot of the DX12 batman figure where theres a great figure there but it needs a lot of mods to bring it to its potential. Its an amazing figure, but unfortunately, Hot Toys decided to rush the figure, and it could have used the extra details to really bring out the figure.
the main thing that bugged me was the helmet. I really wanted it to look closely to the movie where it looks like a modified World war 2 helmet. His helmet looked liked its made of metal in the movie and it had sheen.
Hot toys looked too plasticky.
The Shield also was too NEW, highly reflective mirror shine which it never looked that way in the movie.

So this one eventually bugged me until I had to mod it.
I added gloss to the helmet and the scratches, the gloss made the helmet darker so it resembled the movie helmet which made a world of a difference. :yess:
I also repainted the lips, added leather paint to the chin strap to make it look more leathery, weathered the nylon straps on his chest, weathered the abs section, added gloss to the gloves and boots, tightened the bandolier, and finally battle damaged the shield.
I painted the shield with dullcoat, it was too dull, so I wiped it with nail polish remover til I got the desired results. Then I added the scorch marks.
He is also standing on a Sideshow WW2 Trench Diorama.

This is EXACTLY like the DX12 Batman...with lots of TLC and mods, The figure looks Amazing!

Medicom Amazing Spiderman.
Highly Underrated figure.
This has one of the best bodies in 1/6 scale.
Not too muscular, more on the skinny side but it has a really more humanlike proportions.
the headsculpt, specially the eyes are great. Love the way the light reflects on it.

I added a 1/6 camera and a skateboard to it.

WOW! Great Great Pictorial Viewing my Friend, Great Great Post

Re: Remy's Toys! Current Inventory starting on page [94]

Lots of MODS on this Star Wars Dio.
Bought a HT Luke head, hands, belt, and put him on a Medicom Jedi Luke outfit.
Took me awhile to find this swamp background but finally found one that is high resolution that I can print. Most of the ones on the web are low resolution so once you blew them up to this size, it didnt look good.
I added the plants, fake trees, stones, Classic Predator base that has rock and sand dio to it, a star wars flying swamp creature, a little sea creature next to one of the rocks.
I also cut a small strip, painted it with black, and brown, to give it a murky look and put fake water over it to make it look like they are next to the murky waters.

Yoda was also heavily modded. It was heavily influenced by one of coolest collector here, Marfmaster. His Yoda was painted by Silent Surfer.
When I first got the figure, I thought I bit off more than I could chew cause the stock medicom yoda looked like a cheap toy.
But since I have something to go by, I tried to replicate Marfmaster's yoda.
I heavily modded his clothing, took me several hours just to weather it to make it look old by using Emory board.
Then dipped it in tea to give it that aged look.
Put some fake hair on yoda's head, Then gave Yoda several layers of green, then repainted his eyes.
Yoda is on a Kotobukiya Swamp diorama with light up LED lamp.

R2D2 is a Medicom. Love this little guy also. :)

Great work on this shelf, Fernando! I'm still in love with that Freddy.

I actually bought the Kumik body as well after seeing your Freddy on it, it suits his physique perfectly. :hi5:

Thank you, very glad to hear that. I thought, since the thread is about sharing our collectibles, it would be great also to tell how we able to acquire some of the pieces. Sometimes, specially when it comes to customs, they are not as easy as pre-ordering them. :hi5:

WOW! Awesome work. :clap

Thank ya.

Really love the Jedi Luke!

Oops, my bad, I forgot to include that I also bought the HT Luke body.
I'm not sure if the HT head is compatible with the medi body at all.
And thanks for the compliment. :)

Thank you my friend. :wink1:

Thank you Yannick! I know, I was very suprised by the Kumik body quality. So much better than the cheap headplay. The Kumik is actually very close to HT quality, the joints are stiff so it can hold its pose, and as you mentioned, the physique is Nice! Best of all, its only a little over $20. :hi5:

I'm currently sorting more pics so more coming soon...:)

Awesome updates and displays my friend. I especially love the SW displays. Where in Dallas do you live? Just curious. I grew up in Dallas until I was like ten and moved to San Antonio.

Thanks man, always a pleasure finding people here close to my neck of the woods. :hi5:

I live in Irving, so I'm always either in Dallas or in Fort Worth on weekends.
San Antonio's pretty cool!!!
Last time I was there was many years ago and I just stopped by. Always wanted to see more of it.

No problem, I've got the DX Luke and I can use the clean version to do one. Just got to buy the Jedi Luke outfit, luckily there's some on eBay.

Thanks for the inspiration!!

Re: Remy's Toys! Current Inventory starting on page [94]

My only Fullset Rainman!
Rainman is probably my favorite sculptor. All his figures are pure and simply...Eye Candy.

What I like about this figure is that its very different from most of the figures in my collection which is usually comprised of mostly Action or Superheroes. Nice to have a Western in there.
I have been watching Rainman's sales all the time but could never pull the trigger, mainly cause the characters are not something I would spend a lot of money on. In some ways, that's a good thing cause I would have been broke.

When this was finally available, I was excited to get my very first Rainman fullset. So I was sooo excited, and when Rainman finally posted the date and time...of all the luck, I was gonna be on a plane at the very time it would be available.
Fortunately for me, an awesome member here PM me and told me he would buy it for me.
I really owe him a lot for this, he is a respected member here.
He is even modest though in asking me not to name him cause he was doing it in kindness and not looking for any recognition.
If he reads this and thinks its ok, I would really like post his name, just to remind people how he is a valuable member of this collectible community.

This figure is also in my top 5 in my collection...maybe even top 3.
Enjoyed the Pirates Franchise immensely.

I decided to get both Hot Toys and Enterbay, and mix and match the best parts to make my Jack.
My inpiration is try to replicate Madam Tussaud's Jack Sparrow as close as possible.
Hot Toys did an unbelievable job, but I really like the scultp made by Enterbay. The cool thing is that the it even has a real cloth Bandana.
So my Jack contains mostly Hot Toys, but the Sculpt, Shirt, Sash, are from Enterbay.
One of the cool things about the EB Sparrow is that it has a Flesh Toned Rubber chestpiece that goes over the body.
And since his chest is mostly exposed, Its a genius on Enterbay's part to make this chestpiece, it almost looks like its silicone.
I also sorta copied Adam's method of combining real hair and sculpt, and added real hair on my Jack.

Custom BloodRayne I put together.
I painted the hair. Put a more modern approach to her hair and gave it bloody red highlights, instead of all red.
Body and boots are triad toys Lola.
Bloodrayne outfit and metal sword gauntlet also by triad toys.
