Article says no always-online requirement, but developers have the opportunity to send some processing to a cloud service so certain games may require an online connection for single-player games.

One thing--you may have to register games with Microsoft, so you wouldn't be able to share a game disc with friends.

Huh. Will this be my first XBOX? Maybe; maybe not. I'll just have to see which console comes out on top at E3. I'm getting a Playstation regardless, this will just tell me if I need both.

other then that what a boring conf.
they are going to need more then that to make me spend the money on that console.

I Loved how technical the ps4 conf was.
all specs so I know what it can do.

xbox one so far to me its a 8 gig media center.

Crazy how in-depth Sony went and got torn apart for it. Microsoft went the opposite direction and Sony came out looking better, imo.

I've always preferred my 360 over my ps3. However I'm not one of these people who needs to use gestures or use speaking commands. I very rarely watch TV so the PS4 is much more appealing to me this time. People slam the Wii U. At least its a games console first and foremost. Also microsoft has never reached out to the asian market and it looks like they have alienated them even more. All this NBA and NFL stuff. Its so American.

Overall, I will end up buying both like last gen. Xbox 360 was my main while the PS3 was the exclusive stuff for last gen. The social media and entertainment stuff is very impressive, but I won't be using them really. I really feel sorry for the Wii U at the moment unless they come out with something good enough during the holiday rush. I really think both Xbox 1 and PS4 is going to go huge during Christmas shopping if the price is right and if there good launch titles out. Forza 5 is a good launch for the Xbox 1 for those who are into cars like me. I almost thought 343 Industries was about to say the new Halo was going to be a launch, but we got a TV series instead.

that is what I wanted SPECS.
since I put my onw pc's together I wanted to know what parts they where going to use.

this conf told me nothing about the specs of this system.

Any time I've owned something voice activated, I'd use it for a while, then I'd quickly find myself gravitating to good old reliable buttons.

I'm curious what the 15 games are, but I suppose more than half of them will be FPS games, which I generally don't play, and the rest will probably be Kinect games. I guess we'll find out at E3, unless they keep them hidden to try and build excitement over what turns out to be a bunch of Wii-ripoff party games.

E3 better show nothing but games from PS4 and Xbox, it's getting really boring hearing about social media and tv integration, two things I'll never use my gaming system for.

I'm pumped for the Xbox One. So glad they showed of COD & FIFA

& yeah I couldn't careless for the entertainment part but I've got a lot of friends who do, so I can understand how it's so important to Microsoft to impress there.

Love it or hate it a console has to be so much more than just a games console in this day & age
