The only thing I find unacceptable is the lack of formal comment from either Hot Toys or Sideshow. Both parties have to be aware of the current s#it-storm brewing over this.

Most of us have to buy these figures through online retailers, and don't have the ability to pick them up and look at them in hand before deciding on a purchase, and at $300 there needs to be better marketing of the finished product before it ships, especially with the amount of uncertainty now from proto to finished product.

We depend on people like OMG and Kiddulttoys to show us what we are potentially getting, when in reality we should be seeing formal finished product announcements directly from Hot Toys/Sideshow/Enterbay/etc, especially at the current price points.

Say what you will about the quality of a Hasbro/Kenner figure, at least you've been able to see in hand what the quality (or lack thereof) of the finished product is before plunking down your money.

So Rorywan is right. The sculpts got softer and the clothing got cheaper and sloppier from the prototype pics. Proof Hot Toys is cutting corners and being cheapskates.

Agreed, I think in it self the fact that no formal pics from HT of the final product is speculation enough that this figure is S$!T.
If it is as bad as it looks in those pics posted, Howard Chan better pull them, there is no excuse for this type of final product after the delays we have endured.

Sick of this kinda shyyt. I wanna know if this is true or not.

"Some claimed these were taken last year, but it's odd that they have just hit the Toysdaily and SSF forums the last few days. Pictures allegedly were taken from HT Tokyo store.

The guy who posted the Luke pics posted a disclaimer (per SSF) to say that he was asked by HT to mention that the actual figure on hand is better looking and asked the folks at SSF not to cancel their PO.

Another rumor is that Howard has just stepped in to halt the release of Luke and T800 due to obvious 'issues', and is fast tracking Batman TDKR to fill the gap. So take all this with a grain of salt. Guess we'll find out soon enough as most would have received Luke's payment request recently.

If these are in fact final product pics, then the Luke is particularly disappointing not just in the sculpting department but also in paint application. That's not to say Bruce looks fine either, he looks nothing like CB.

HT J.C Hong left comment about DX 07 Luke Skywalker taken in Japan on Korean figure community named ifigure. He said that Luke DX 07 & Batman DX 12 are not final products but just samplesmfor customs sent to HT JAPAN Unfortunately HT JAPAN staff made a mistake by displaying DX 07 & DX 12.

I doubt those pics from facebook are from a year ago. It makes sense that Luke and Batman were just shown considering they're going to start shipping in the next few days.

The production figures always show up at that store with the lit table displays.


I bet that is the final version and then we'll see more in hand pics in the coming days.
