So glad there's a separate Boba Fett Customizations/Modifications thread to discuss mods on this fig...:dunno

Seems like "SSC Boba Fett" and "modification" go hand-in-hand a little too snugly![/QUOTE]

Just like "Medicom" and "Crazap" go hand-in-hand a little too snugly! :monkey1

My specific point is that this thread is to discuss the released SSC figure and the other thread is to discuss modifications to said figure... maybe just merge them?

That thread was made so modification ideas wouldn't be lost within the clutter of the main thread discussing all aspects of the figure. It's easier to find different mod techniques if they're listed in their own thread about modification of the figure.

God dammit ShortRound... I was all prepared to accept Fett on the Pro body, but this just looks too good.

I still think my laziness will win out over the best possible figure, but the battle is getting closer.

Yeah I wasnt planning on doing anything to my Fett, but after that pic, Im switching him to a TT. I just gotta now.

Lopie...what did you do to him in total?

Don't know if you posted that already...I'm too lazy to go back and read through the thread :huh

Shortround too!

What didn't I do to it. I curved the belly plate, cut the plastic from inside the vest, made all the armor from inside the vest tighter by pushing in the plastic posts and reglued them, took in the vest, bent in the neck armor. I also made the elastic on the knee armor tighter, padded the abdomen so the vest fit better. However, now seeing how nice he looks on that slim I might do that, I have one at the house. And lastly I changed the Wookie scalps, and tightened the 2 waist straps.

SS forgot to put "THIS IS A KIT" on the box

Nice mods everyone. I have the Medi and put in on a regular true type. It's a bit tight but looks much better and is now tall enough and more proportionate.

I still think this SS boba is the one to have but can't afford it right now with everything else I have on preorder.

I actually made some longer ankle pegs from regular sized ones. It's not hard. If anyone needs tips or the recipe let me know. Beats having to spend $20.00 on pegs.

Thanks Lopie!

WOW!!! This thing is a project! I just thought I would cut the plastic, round the belly armor and take in the vest. Guess not...

Thanks SSCs for this expensive...kit...

I put these in the modifications thread a few days ago with info how to do it easily if you are put off by kitbashing. Really simple, my only issue was the ankle pegs from SSC wouldn't come out so I had to cut into the shoe and glue it back up to remove, most others shouldn't have that problem.

:horror Cut into the shoe!

That's not really necessary if you blow dry the shoe with hot ait or put it in hot water. This will soften the plastic and the peg comes out easier. That's what I did.

You sold me. I'm putting mine on a slim.

Here are a few shots of mine, slight futz straight out of the box and no modification yet but, it really looks fine as is.

Jim, that is awesome scaling on the medis, love the height difference shown on the two since Jango was actually a shorty, you pretty much captured it perfectly.

Thanks. There are a lot of things the SS has that I wish the Medi had. Leather and real fabrics to name a few on the belts but it's a decent place holder till I can pick this guy up.

That's my shortened Vader, my modded taller sideshow stormtrooper han, my shortened old Ben, and the out of the box Lando.

Lando is supposed to be the same height as Boba if not a smudge taller but everyone else is their correct heights. Including Jango!

Wow. A direct replication ended up being 4 inches taller.
