Pick up an apple and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Watch the movie... :lol

I watched that clip and the best angle to see it is at the 40 second mark. I still see the thumb angling outwards from the rest of the hand in a way that the HT figure isn't capable.

If you're saying that HT deliberately did it the way they did it to get a better grip on a weapon I could agree with that but its not a natural positioning of the thumb. Look at r5150s mod -THAT is what a real human hand is like :huh if it were realistic the HT thumb would need to be rotated like that so it articulates in a different direction. Trying with my own hand, I cannot come close to articulating my thumb directly towards/against my index finger like the HT. My thumb goes across my palm not towards my other fingers.

edit - OK scratch the first part of my post. Just replicated pretty closely with the HT hand what I was talking about at 40seconds. The rest of my post I stand by though.

Touch you pinky finger with your thumb. :lol

Anyway, both positions are correct, because the endoskeleton hand is only an approximation of the human form and function... I'll see if Hex has the time to give you a detailed explanation of real human anatomy in comparison.

I'm not sure we're even debating about the same point anymore. I don't think we'll need a surgeon in here though and pretty sure she'd agree with me on this one despite her general allegiance to you :D

Re:

:yess: Just received the T-1000 alt. head from the Sarah Connor in Disguise figure, today!

Now, with all the purchased T-800 & T-1000 accessories, all what I need is to put my hands on that DX10. :clap

Congrats. I remember the massive hype with that head!

So which version do you guys think is better? The DX10 or the MMS 117? I guess a better question would be which sculpt is better?

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Are you referring to the T1 figure when you say MMS136? Just most people compare the DX10 to MMS117 so I'm wondering if you're making a mistake there.

I'm just going to wait till I have DX10 to decide one way or another. My initial impression was of an inferior sculpt here but its kind of growing on me.

Yes, sorry. Just fixed the number.

Yeah, IDK. I'm thinking the DX looks more like Arnold.

The DX 10 has really grown on me. I look forward to adding him to my collection.

:exactly:I have the dx10 head sculpt as my background for the past month now and I have to say that it is starting to grow on me aswell. I think it does look better than mms117 with the glasses off, as long as they fix the ugly gap from the panel at the back of the head I think this be a winner. I'm still really looking forward to this release.

Well at this point you might aswell wait for the dx, but if you are impulsive you still can't lose with mms117 as its still a great figure. Also I really like that pic under your statement:monkey5

The choice is pretty clear to me. Both of them. As for the figures, yeah I'd say wait for the DX. The overall package is better - if he buys the MMS117 he'll probably end up wanting the cyberdyne gear anyway so...

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

My opinion on the mms vs. dx:

A T2 figure is pretty much my holy grail 1/6 figure. I didn't think the mms version was worthy of being that figure. The dx is. Once I saw real photos and video of it, I was convinced.

Well, I already have the MMS117, but I think the head on DX looks better. Thanks, I like her too. :wink1:

Yeah, I have the MMS117, but I'm thinking of off loading him and getting the DX.

Good to know. Thanks guys.

Since you have mms117 you are in a good spot, depending on how big a fan you are. Reason being that you can display them in totally differant ways like mms117 can be displayed with the endo arm and the dx with the cyberdine gear or as the gallareia look, but if you only want one the dx has the most to offer in display options. Keep in mine the dx does not have the black t-shirt, endo arm, or the rosebox.

I just received my Joker and it is going to be a long wait for my next scheduled figure.... Returns Penguin. This DX might fill that void since I missed out on the 2009 release.

My Joker should arrive this evening and the only other preorders I have are this guy and Bespin Luke. Hopefully I don't try and fill a void between now and then with any other figures.

Edit: with the announcement of Amazing Spiderman this morning, it appears I will have another preorder on my list soon. Now if only HT could hold off as long as possible with Hulk...
