youll see,,,

people just hate on the diaz bros because they talk trash...but they back it up...
they respect their opponent at the end of the fight.

ill let you know when he gets a chance to face one of the top 5,,

stand and box? you think thats all he has?
do you follow the fighters before you trash them?

Of course, but MacDonald isn't a Top 5 LW. That was my point. Everyone saying Nate is ready for a legit Top 5 LW should rewatch that MacDonald fight and see Nate getting tooled before suggesting that again. Nate has looked good against mediocre comp, but he's also looked like crap against mediocre comp. He'd lose to most of the Top 10 LW's ranked right now.

you think so...saying hed lose to most of the top 10 is just a ridiculous statement...especially in this sport... but its your opinion....i can respect that ..i on the other hand think hes going to be one of the top LW's in the ufc in the coming years....hes a monster on his feet and on the ground.....

.you cant point out one loss and define a fighter..

matt serra owned Gsp one fight,...what does that mean? LOL
absolutely nothing

Diaz is a young fighter with no fighting background who is getting better and better....

Think I'll pick Overeem over JDS. I do like JDS, but he's basically a boxer. Overeem has more skills to pick him apart or even take him down. Should be a alot better then these last HW title fights.

So you're basically saying what I'm saying yet you disagreed with me!? I think in the future he'll be up there but right NOW he'd lose to most of the Top 10 LHW's ranked right now.

after his last two fights i disagree that hed lose to most of the top 10...thats what im saying

and in the next few years hell be on top

does he deserve a shot at the title now? NO

but i dont see him losing to most of the top then...i think thats a ridiculous statement....his last 2 fights he looked great and is growing better with every fight

i agree,,,reem is the real deal and will cause problems for JDS

id like to see Cain get another shot at JDS though

I like Cain, think he still has the skills to be the best HW. The JDS fight seemed like a fluke. But Cain's chin has been suspect. I'm sure will see a rematch with JDS soon enough.

How is it ridiculous!? He's 1-2 against guys currently ranked in the Top 10 at LW (Win over Cerrone, 2 Losses to Guida and Maynard). He'll never fight Melendez. Aoki and Chandler aren't in the UFC.

Which leaves Edgar, Bendo, Miller, Pettis and rematches against Guida & Maynard.

I don't think he'd beat any of those guys at the moment.

that's exactly what I was gonna say. Cerrone was the only top 10 guy he has beaten, but anyone that has watched Cerrone fight the last year knows that was a lame duck fight Cerrone had. People shouldn't read too much into that right now. I don't see him beating any of the highlighted guys and I don't think he's even ready for any of them, except for maybe Pettis; that would be a good match to see where Diaz is really at. I could also see a Guillard rematch cause Guillard was beating Nate down in the stand up last time they fought.

Kinda weird how JDS was in the octagon and when Reem talked about the upcoming match they just showed a quick shot of him but they didn't do a face to face stare down!?

Wrong thread? :lol

I thought the same thing...I was like what was the point of bringing JDS into the cage if they werent going to have a staredown and a bit of hype for the next major HW fight.

As for Nate, thats why I had Cowboy winning I just figured he was a much more dynamic striker, but like Cowboy said in the interview and in the press conference he got taken out of his game. Nates weakness is still wrestling which is why he said "he didnt wanna do any of that gay ass wrestling stuff"

thats your opinion...i dont agree

makes no sense to go back and forth....youre not going to change my mind and vice versa :1-1:

The Reem has K-1 GP championship level kickboxing and Muay Thai skills

Ok let's be real here for a minute. Overeem's K-1 record is 10-4. And his 2010 GP run wasn't exactly the hardest road. He fought Spong to decision and then fought two injured opponents back-to-back to win the title (Saki already had a damaged arm and Aerts was coughing up blood after a grueling 3 round decision win over Schilt).

Seriously, people need to remember Mark Hunt also won a K-1 GP championship + he has 3x as much K-1 experience than Overeem yet you don't see people talking his striking up like Reem. Because it's irrelevant in an MMA fight. And like I said, in MMA, JDS' striking is more proven and legit.

youre not going to change my mind and vice versa :1-1:

It's all good, it's just discussion. I guess we'll just see how it plays out.

JDS is a one dimensional Striker. He won't be throwing kicks or knees. Overeem has more skills standing. Overeem may even try to take him down. Overeem has alot more options to win this fight then JDS. I could care less as long its a decent fight.

Crocop gave him all he could handle before suffering an eye injury...

We must've watched two different fights then, because the fight I saw featured JDS dominating and beating the crap out of Cro Cop for 3 rounds until Cro Cop quit.

In MMA, Overeem had nothing for Werdum in the stand up department (he was actually OUTSTRUCK by Werdum according to FightMetric) and nothing for an even older and even more broken down Cro Cop other than takedowns and knees to the groin ala Kongo to make the fight a NC.

No doubt Overeem is the best striker JDS has faced in MMA to date, but the same could be said about JDS for Overeem at HW in MMA. I mean there's a reason why JDS opened up as a 2-1 favorite.

Like I said, we'll see once they fight. Should be good.
