Why doesn't anyone ever shoot Batman in the mouth?


As much as I am a huge Batman fan, I guess it's time to break it to everyone......Batman isn't real! There I did it.....Easter bunny... nope him either. Santa Claus... just a cruel joke parents play on their children to get them to be good for a few months when they're all cooped up together for the winter.

But any way that's why Batman doesn't get shot in the mouth, he's a fictional character and fictional characters don't make as much money shot in the mouth........wait did I just say money shot?

Most people who get shot don't get shot in the mouth. Why should Batman be any different?

It pisses me off everytime someone DOESNT shoot the guy in the head to make sure he`s dead,its always a few shots on his body,and assumes he`s dead,then BAM!he woke up,its like you want the good guys to be finished off for being so damn stupid.

It's been said before, because it's a comic. The superhero lives in a world where the villain measures up to the superhero. Good and bad are in balance. Just as good as Batman is at fighting crime without weapons, the villains are as bad not being able to kill him when they have the opportunity. They could blow him over with a blast of water from a fire hose, chuck a net over him, blow him up with a grenade or other device.

If you are meaning the film, then Raz could easily have sniped him as Bruce, as he had the resources and advantage of a widespread following of anonomous assassins. What about the Joker. He managed to set things up in an amazingly short span of time, so he must have had some organisational abilities and a web of cronies to follow his directions to bring a number of situations about. Yes he was the ying to Batmans yang, but if he truly believed in chaos he would have brought Batman down to bring it about.

Heh, this reminds me of something I read about the Bond movies.

James Bond always seems to be captured at one point or the other (I can't verify this as I don't think I've seen EVERY Bond movie).

The writer asked a rhetorical question - "Why setup all these elaborate methods etc to kill Bond? Why not just shoot him in the head and get it over with? They just give him an opportunity to escape.

I remember one which I found quite funny. I think it was one of the Pierce Brosnan movies where he was trapped in a helicopter cockpit and tied up. And to escape, he tried to use the emergency launch for the pilot/co-pilot seats by banging his head against the lever/activation switch

I guess with the Joker in that strange way he identified too much with Batman so wont kill him because it'll be the end of their game and because he defines him self as Batman's opponent killing him would them make his life meaningless.

Does Batmans suit have a fly? he's out all night and he must have to go at least once during a knight shift, he'd have to take his whole suit off for a quick pee, much more pressing matter.

anyway they don't shoot in the mouth cuz they're scared it'll just piss him off.

this reminds me of an issue of JLA year one where flash is telling black canary that he feels that her high heels aren't really any use in battle and more of a liability she agrees right after she grabs the big Flash wings on his mask and turns his cowl around on him, so he can't see.

point is if we start wondering about this we start to take the fun out of fantasy.
