I'm excited to see when you guys get him in hand. I debated back and forth on getting version A, as I have the single sculpted InArt and the HT Artisan version on order and would have liked to have all three versions. Ultimately the character doesn't mean enough for me to spend that on one figure. Depending on what JND drops in the future, I would love to pick up at least one of their figures.

In hindsight I kind of wish I attempted to grab the Artisan Anakin instead or at least along with Joker. I got Joker pretty easily but didn’t even hop on sideshow for Anakin. I see Anakin starting out on Ebay for $850+ easily.

Yeah, I didn't try on Anakin either. But then, I would like to see how these Artisan figures are in hand first.

Hopefully, not something HT just drops.

The hair for Anakin is a bit more forgiving than Joker with its thickness and much more uniform tones. Both will need to be properly styled and curled no doubt about it, as well as a bit of thinning and rework, that’s par for the course with any rooted hair though. But regardless how Anakin comes out, he’ll still fetch a pretty penny, the other ROTS versions are both up there in price and the sculpts are pretty underwhelming to say the least. HT finally captured resemblance to the actors with Bespin Luke 2.0 and Artisan Anakin.

I was able to secure all three Artisan figures so far through Sideshow. Hopefully they are working on the travel aspect of the hair and how it holds up during shipping. I don't want to test my hair styling capabilities too much . I've been messing around more with my golden armor WW and Gamora to hopefully enhance those skills.

I’m curious to see the other 7 announcements they make this year, and when they decide to go up for PO. Imagine they announce 3 or 4 figures you want and they all are 1k & up. The $25 deposits will be missed.

id trust kit's listing more than the other two. i don't expect spec to receive their allotments until after kit receives all of his.

sculpted for me, i didn't want to take up and fight over people for a sculpt i plan to modify and change anyways. would've been a waste of money just to have it haired already when i can just tell the artist to shave and remove the existing hair model on the sculpted. tailoring however, im not exactly looking forward to.

Three major companies just fast tracks the inevitable eventual wind down of collecting at the rate of memorable film being made. The new generations won’t even pay to own a film, even digitally, let alone a physical representation of it with a headsculpt and cloth. Kids born past 2010 don’t grow up with toys nor do they care to learn about film that’s “old and boring”.

You're not wrong. It's hard to get my two almost 11 year olds to want watch older movies, but we kind of force them to with a family movie night. We got them to watch Back to the Future yesterday and they loved it, immediately asking if they made more movies of it. I was quit surprised. My 3 year old loves Batman and Spider-Man, so I'm leaning into that as much as possible.

Keep at it bro, I’m too young for kids myself. A way you can do it would be to get them to do chores and watch old films one day, so they can do things they want to, the next. Getting them used to doing things that aren’t “fun” but necessary early on is key. They very well could adapt to enjoying things they once dreaded as well as implementing a routine in the process. Anything to help todays kids attention span and patience.

Yea that's very true. My friends definitely prefer to pay monthly for streaming services and don't see the value in owning something. Even if it's something they repeatedly watch, they would rather sign up for the streaming service it's on than just purchase it on iTunes or whatever preferred service.

I had over 500 physical movies but it just became to laborious and inconvenient to keep it all, so I converted most to digital when Vudu used to do offer this service to insert your DVD into your disc drive and then purchase the digital version (HD or SD, there was no 4k then ) at a discounted rate. Not sure if they still offer that now. Now I have over 1000 digital movies. Just have to hope the apoloclypse happens after I die so I don't personally lose them all But, if I was "doomsday prepping," I'd definitely try to buy up as much physical media as I could.

Yea I don’t buy physical copies myself anymore unless it’s a brilliant 4K scan of an old film I adore. Other than that, digital and streaming usually suffice. My brain can’t deal with a wall cabinet filled with Blu-ray’s, not to look down on those that do by any means, just not for me. I feel the same about collecting 1:6, the thought of being overwhelmed with figures and boxes scares me if I’m being honest.

Yea exactly, this is why it’s a tight rope for me. If I have second thoughts on a purchase, or collecting a line, it’s promptly out the door without hesitation. I can’t somewhat like something and keep it even if the film “says it’s required”. There shouldn’t be any worst figures in your collection imo, love it all or toss it.
