Ahsoka was a joint release....as were several others. The first batch went out the same time they did in HK. They have been doing it quite a bit lately, but it's only usually a small first batch from Sideshow. But to their credit, this first batch has been coming same time as HK
I'd hardly call it a "joint release" simply because a lucky chosen few get their figures early. Like many, I'm still waiting on Ahsoka. That's not a joint release but for a handful of collectors.
Nice one mate, I reckon once this is released and not available for retail anymore this figure is going to go for a big premium on the resale market. It’s just too good of a figure to sleep on. There only one on eBay at the moment for Pre Order and even that is selling for a ridiculous price, not that I care because I don’t plan on selling him once he arrives but it’s still comforting knowing that. Just look at this sculpt!!! I’m so glad my wife got me this for my birthday this year. It’s going to have so much shelf presence in my opinion

Same here and it's kind of a crappy way for HT to say a figure is "released". If anything it feels that the small batch approach might actually delay the release of the figure to everyone.

If we don't get her very soon I'm going to make my own.Thank God they appear to be over their venomised fetish for the meantime. I guess we just have to get used to them doing whacky stuff every now and again, someone at Hot Toys has a sense of humour (that no-one else finds funny). Honestly, I think we'll get Kit Fisto in wave 2 of the AOTC line and he will open up the door to the best of the rest of the PT Jedi.
That's exactly what they've been... There hasn't been a "joint release" that is more than a small batch really. I would absolutely call that a joint release. It's much better than HK releasing and then SS releasing a small batch two months later. They've been steadily shipping Ahsoka since the first batch went out. I'm still waiting too btw, but that's the way it is. Other places do the same thing. Small first batch releases. Do you think a joint release is HK releasing and Sideshow shipping out everyone's Ahsoka at the same time?
That's exactly what a true joint release would imply. I would hardly call Sideshow shipping out a handful of figures at the same time they're in HK a "joint release". That's a pretty wide interpretation of the term. But fine, let's go with that definition. And then let's say Jango is, in fact, one of these joint releases. What are your odds of getting the figure upon initial release? Next to zero. So but for a lucky few, joint releases don't even matter because 90% of orders or more are going to be waiting the usual 2-3 months anyway.
