Decided to finally pick up Hot Toys RE4 Ada and Ekuaz Studio Grim Reaper. Initially passed on it cause of all the DIY assembly, but 100% worth it in the end.

Hot Toys RE4 Ada definitely is a step up from RE4 Leon. She actually feels like an action figure while Leon looks and feels more like a doll.

On 1/12 terms, the MTTOYS Ada is pretty inconsistent. Left is the first one I assembled, Right is the second one. There's variances in the head sculpt itself and the way the dress falls. Anyone who bought this set knows how easy it is for her to fall over, so I equipped the one on the left with a pair of 1/12 Flats and while it is shorter, it now stands like a charm.

The Pocket World RE6 Ada (PW2015) is officially out now, but she's much tinier than the MTTOYS/TBLEAGUE one. Also feels like the material her pants are made of will tear in a few months/years. I still do recommend getting her though, especially if you have the PW RE6 Leon. This one comes with great accessories and the ear piece is removable.

Lastly, a custom 1/12 Limtoys Leon I started working on. Not fond of the joints showing, but the Damtoys one is too expensive nowadays for me to bother modding it.

Yeah, classic RE4 hot toys Leon really needs a body swap, I don't feel the re5 stuff does, but eh. I didn't realize damtoys Leon went up in price though, I kne it was coming but not this soon! Ekuaz Hunk was expected, hope you didn't pay the current rate of 450-500 I've seen him go for.

It cost $465 XD. I knew I should've bought him when it first came out but I was initially turned off by the assembly required. That and hearing that you needed to buy a separate 1/6 head sculpt as the one it comes with is too big. Thankfully I was able to get the helmet on mine perfectly without having to change the default head it comes with. Just had to apply light pressure on the mask and helmet when applying them.

Haven't seen another listing for Hunk online since I bought mine, so I like to think that I made the right choice

RE4 Leon needs a lot more than a body swap IMO, not much of that figure is actually usable. Hopefully Damtoys will see the price increase/ demand and release some more RE figures.

They can't, EKUAZ Hunk came from them allegedly given it has a lot of the same parts, and similar quality. Something about capcom's Resident Evil license is managed by an insane person, so things don't get approved fast, and if they do they have to have horrible flaws like that Jill statue. Hunk was released through 3rd party because of their draconian policies allegedly.

paint up those hands and give the outfit some weathering, looks too clean for him. Other than that he's solid.

I would recommend her if you like the character/movie great figure clothing/accessories etc but the headsculpt is meh..: better than the re1 Alice one that sculpt is awful! But I swapped the the Swtoys for the HT one. Hopefully apocalypse is next since I just need the gear for my second apocalypse custom.

I would say, go for the more neutral expressionin the ref image you posted, or go full pain grimace.

I think I agree about the neutral and pain grimace options so you'll have them for you to choose from, but it's looking really great. I assume you've looked at photos of the real-life actor Patrick Levar too as they used his likeness.
