Absolutely pumped for this reveal! Looks like a lot of people on instagram are asking for a 1/12 scale MGS 1 snake
Regardless, will happily buy both scales of MGS1-4 snakes...so keep them coming. We also need an old snake please!

Any idea when the MGS1 reveal will take place? Any chance of it happening in Q1 2022?

EXCELLENT news from Lim. Mentioning the different scales, I'd love to see 1/6 offerings of both MGS 1 and 2 Snake (I just can't get into 1/12 scale ).

I'm kinda over mgs at this point, but I'd still grab a grey fox or maybe Liquid if you guys did him. I just got so tired of waiting for decent stuff I lost all interest in the franchise. I would never say no to a good greyfox though, wish you guys tackled other licenses like no more heroes though.

I'm pretty much the same but with everything. Great figures still look great but the interest just isn't there anymore.

Having said that, I'll definitely buy young & old Solid, may be Liquid but nothing else.

I think Kojima nearly destroyed MG with MGSV's dumb story. It was pure garbage. But I would buy any 1/6 figure from MGS 1 to 3 and some from 4. I love this franchise to death, it's part of my life.

I think Hot Toys could've done so much with MGS when they had the license several years ago, but they severely dropped the ball on it.

I wonder if mgs is in a RE situation where there's somebody in control of the license holding that seems to not know what they're doing. I am still mad we never got Jetstream Sam.

The obvious answer would be, Konami. I’ve heard that dealing with them regarding merchandising is awful.

Far as I know when Kojima was still at Konami and working on MGS games, the merchandising was fine for the most part. Companies like GSC were weird with only focusing on Solid Snake and Big Boss, but PAK did a good variety of characters. I think now it's like the RE situation without Kojima there. Who does the RE licensing? Like who's in charge?
For some companies, it is hard to tell due to how they operate...

I think Hot Toys was mostly to blame for the lack of figures, because they were prioritizing their Marvel lines over VGM. I also vaguely remember they teased an MGS V banner around 2013, but that apparently got scrapped.

When Kojima and Shinkawa were still at Konami, other merchandise was being released in droves. PAK especially made a crap ton of releases.... it was far from being a comprehensive list of all the characters, but it was still a lot.
