38 minutes left and still over 1300 backers needed. Are the last day spikes that these things get like ebay where it blows up in the final two minutes?

Yeah, typically the last two days add thousands upon thousands of backers. This last day has been fairly weak in comparison to most other Haslabs.

I think today has been total BS.
They had egg on their faces and I strongly suspect they were inflating the total so it doesn't look quite so bad now it hasn’t funded.

Well at least the Cookie Monster now has company. Then again I can see Hasbro turning around and deciding to produce it anyway seeing it wasn't far off the 9k mark.
They came up short! 8500 total. Though it looks like they're still allowing orders...

They should just admit they were trying to hose Star Wars fans, throw in all the lame stretch goals, and add 24 hours to the clock. I would buy one then I suppose.

I'm happy this didn't make it, the campaign was a joke and an insult to collectors, you see the passion some of these other funded projects got and compare it to the crap they gave this one. It was overpriced, with a sloppy paint job and crap tiers, with Malakili only being added at the last second when they realized how much of a failure their campaign was.
Sorry for the collectors that really wanted one though, as a Black Series Rancor should be cool and exciting, not whatever this project was.

Really sorry for the folks out there who were excited for this.
It’s honestly shameful how much Hasbro absolutely dropped the ball with this campaign.
Their hubris and tone deaf contempt for collectors was excruciating at times.
The way this all went down, Hasbro needed to lose this one.
I don’t have much hope, but I hope something good will come of this and they’ll listen to collectors a bit more in the future instead of doubling down the opposite way.
