Clerks 1 remains in my top 10 comedies of all time.

I like Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma. In retrospect I really like Mallrats because it's like a time capsule of what malls used to look like.

The one about the lesbian and her cuck boyfriend played by Affleck is the only one I don't care for, but his other 90's films I enjoy.

I liked Chasing Amy on first view but 2nd not as much.

What's funny is that my teenage daughter spent many weekends with her friends at the local mall this past year which is less than 10 minutes from the house to the point where I even started jokingly calling them mallrats. It was only about a month ago that I remembered that it is the actual mall *from* Mallrats. It's totally different now, only the Sbarro's that you see briefly in the background is actually still there. Every other store has been replaced with something else. The outside entrances have been updated quite a bit too.

In the movie they make reference to the food court being on the first floor but it's actually on the second, lol.

It's kind of sad. Those characters worked when they were in their 20's back in the 90s , but now they're in their 50's and still more or less the same, it's like watching an aging rock band.

Even Jay and Silent Bob at this point look ridiculous still dressing like they did in the 90's. It's ok to change. I don't wear giant baggy pants like I used to in the late 90's or neon colored clothes like in the early 90's.

The only time I was amused by him was when he was on his college circuit telling Hollywood tall tales.

That's his talent. Filmmaking was just a stepping stone. He should write a tell-all book called Hollywood Stories.

Yeah if he decides to come back to Eden Prairie I totally will, lol. It's funny because Mallrats is what it really looks like here (lots of affluent neighborhoods like the one Jason Lee and the main girl live in) but in Fargo Season 3 (the one with Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead) which was supposed to take place in Eden Prairie they make it look like it's a desolate wasteland.

I think the Breakfast Club still holds up. I think it's an actual great film.

Sixteen Candles, wow is I love that film but after talking in person to Anthony Michael hall about this film he told me no way a sequel would get made today, he doesn’t see himself chasing panties from a middle aged Molly Ringwald at all
