To me the folds in the backpack - just the whole way it hangs - look too realistic for it to be pleather, and I agree that the stitching looks too intricate for real 1/6 pleather stitching. That being said, it's not 100% clear. The pouch next to it is sculpted, but HT farmboy Luke had a pleather belt and molded pouches, so that doesn't indicate much.

Straps look molded. Dead give away. That is, if it's not pleather. I vote molded.

What they really need to do is release him for pre-order so we can get some more detailed blogger photos.

Then we will be able to determine if the backpack is moulded or in fact rich corinthian leather !

Check again, I did a Kuiil quote about an hour ago.

Not sure what the point of this is from Hot Toys, is it their weird way of doing market research? It reminds me of that time they randomly asked what accessories people would want to see with ROTS Obi-Wan, and the next day they released him anyway with accessories they'd clearly already pre-decided on. Can't wait to see Hot Toys announce the winner of the quotes as the Artillery Trooper with ''arghhh!''

For me, Kuiil was the highlight in an otherwise underwhelming May the 4th reveal. I?m only slightly tempted by the Blurgg if they release Kuiil.

I just watched that scene again, and realised something odd with Artoo.

When he comes through the door there are pins on the top of his legs:

Then they're gone:

And back again:

They're still there when he enters the lift and turns round.

ROTFLMAO its funny because its true. Those Mark 46 people are really super freakin' obnoxious, like we have not had 475,585 Iron Man releases and yet they are still complaining for more.

Hopefully before the end of May. The scary thing is that season three isn't scheduled this year and has no release date. The Iron Man figure they just preordered is understandable, but it would be nice if Kuiil was next.

We?ve had all the main players from S2 with the exception of Fennic, who we?ll probably get after BOBF.

I would like both as well. I was thrilled to see the unmade season one characters haven't been forgotten but there won't be any real sense of relief until we get preorders. I am still waiting to order blurrgs until Kuiil is available officially.
