I'll buy it if they make it, but I don't think they're going to make it.

This is also one of the earliest they've shown a marvel villain for a movie. That's probably a good thing.

The hood will undoubtedly be wired to be better futzed.

I like the look through. No attachment to the comic design so I'm happy to adopt this one off the bat.

Looks interesting but prefer the comic Skeletor look. It a wait and see if I like the character in the movie release type of figure. Never would have thought I wanted Zemo after watching Civil War but here we are after the show

No question now if he is going to be made or not.

I agree, but I am open to how awesome or not awesome he will be in the movie. Kinda of like a pro snowboarder look. But if he survives and might be part of a bigger team, I might wait to see that figure. Usually patience is rewarded with Hot Toys, or at least in my case of wants.

It's possible this was softened due to the China market. A skull mask might come across as "demonic," which can be difficult to get by their censor board. But I could be wrong. I'm fine with the mask as it is. That said, maybe there are scenes in the movie where he dons alternative masks, or they're shown hanging on an arsenal wall. Would be a nice Easter egg. It also would have been cool (but impractical) to see him in the long cape.

100% dig it. Looks awesome.

I'm sure a third party will make a more comicbook accurate sculpt tbh.

If these promos are up, this one is definitely happening.

Now give me my Red Guardian.

Dude, if they actually make this one I'm gonna be real upset Yellowjacket never got made! That costume looked wayyyy cooler than Taskmaster!

How did they watch The First Avenger then? Or Infinity War? Do they just blur out the Red Skull's face or do they give him a nose? lol

Its a good looking figure but still, based on a TERRIBLE design. Taskmaster can't catch a break, not in Square Enix's Avengers and definitely not in this film.. I'll get it when it goes down to Finn & Phasma price aftermarket

Demons, Witchcraft, ghosts, zombies and other similar type imagery can be censored in China. It’s always a subjective case by case basis, and not based on any precedent. So the “whataboutism” argument won’t fly. There can be far worse imagery in one movie given a green light vs another that gets flagged. The flagged film then may be required to make cuts or simply be rejected altogether. US studios are allocated only so many films that they can release in China per year. China could certainly have put the kibosh on Red Skull citing their censorship standards had they wanted to. Which would have required Marvel to either appeal for reconsideration and/or make cuts to the China version of the film. Red Skull is an iconic Marvel villain with 75+ years of history, whereas Taskmaster is a B-list villain. So again it’s possible not for certain Marvel went with a safer design to mitigate any hurdles. Studios have to navigate rules and regulations in markets around the world, be it due to demonic imagery, things that could be construed as culturally offensive, things that don’t translate, etc. that’s why there can be several different cuts of a film for localization based on market. China just happens to be the world’s #2 market.

I think it was just a creative decision on Marvel's part. Dude is doing some crazy stunts and the snowboarder like visor is for clear vision to be able to pull some of that stuff off. Never know, this could just be the Taskmaster V.1 if he survives and becomes part of the Thunderbolts. I guess the same points can be given to Crossbones, not as skully as it looks like in the comics. But again, he isn't doing the stunts I am seeing in the BW trailer.

I was really hoping the VGM line would have produced this but the fact that they haven't even done any of the more traditional Spidey villains from the game just told me....it won't happen :(

Batman Arkham Origins Deathstroke...there might be a chance.
