Re: Black Widow (November 6, 2020)

Well well well the Russo bros did it again.

Netflix just announced that Extraction is their biggest movie premiere in the history of Netflix.

No seriously how do the Russo do it.

Not only do they have the biggest theatrical movie they now have the biggest streaming movie I mean just how is that even possible that is truly beyond anything Cameron can muster up.

Dark Fate lol

Their production start up just got a huge infusion of cash.

The Russos:

TWS
CW
IW
EG
Extraction

Hemsworth kicking ass.

Didn't they also consult on Wolf Warrior 2 which I believe is China's all time #1 domestic earner? :thud:

One thing for sure it’s interesting how a MCU film will do in the winter slot

Each ticket will come with a free strain of the winter's next COVID-19 mutation, absolutely free of charge!

*Does not cover hospitalization bill*

Oh S#### I just remembered they said the virus could come back in the winter again...Damn this is going to sting future releases of MCU movies :horror

Don’t know how many people will flock into the theater for this film now

Thank god again both SW ST and EG came out last year. Can you imagine if we had to wait another year or so just to wrap up both MCU Phase 1 and the ST to SW :horror

I?m sure people could wait for Star Wars as nobody really cared about the conclusion but EG was the huge one people waited for

Re: Black Widow (November 6, 2020)

Release day streaming is the best idea the studios ever thought of

The future of film releases.

Whilst I was an avid cinema goer in my 20's I very rarely go to the cinema now, maybe 3/4 times a year.

The continued social distancing rules and fear of watching films with a large crowd are going to really hit the cinema companies.

I'm not a disease expert by any means, but I fear the virus is here to stay - at least until we get a vaccine and it becomes more manageable.

It certainly doesn't help that all of these states are reopening. :slap

If there ever was a time for Cameron to swoop in with ground breaking new cinema technology to save the movie theaters this would be that time.

Avatar 2 Glasses Free 3D 8K Experience!

Tag Line:

It is worth getting Covid for it!

Isn't that just a Broadway play? :wink1:

Re: Black Widow (November 6, 2020)

If rumors play out and it's $30 to rent this at home, I'm 100% ok with this. I'll gladly pay the premium to avoid the theater...and that sentiment has little to do with COVID...more so with the poor manners of movie goers. If you have a family of four watch this at home for $30, it's cheaper before you even factor in the food and drink.
