I'm still weighing up which sculpt to use - the BW paint is obvioulsy stellar, and it's not a bad likeness to Dietrich whereas the Vartal sculpt can't have that same level of detail and paint apps whereas the likeness is a little more spot on.

Greggo did great with my Snyderman Marion.... I can post pics.

I really want to see the paint up. Please post. I've had my own Marion project on the books for years as you probably know. Tried to get a Nepal Marion project going long ago too but the shirt killed it. I have acquired most of the parts over the last few years... but I haven't yet got the Snyderman sculpt. Last piece of the puzzle.

And I think you're better off going with the Dolph than the Vartal. Vartal was pretty soft on the details, even back then. The shape is excellent, but I don't think it will hold up today being so smooth. The likeness lost with Dolph is gained by detail and realism. Plus the cap helps in the appearance.

Yeah I'm not sure about the likeness either at the moment. Like my Jnix sculpt it'll work well enough for now, but still isn't the perfect dead-on Indy I'm really wanting for my collection. And the fact it doesn't work as well in profile view is kind of a giveaway that something is off about it.

I'll wait to see it in person and more shots of the sculpt painted before deciding what to do. For some reason I had this in mind as a possible Last Crusade option, but I'd like to avoid a situation where Indy's head size keeps changing from movie to movie (figure to figure).

I'm already seriously considering going with the SS TOD sculpt for my TOD Indy, which compounds the problem.

That one looks a bit off to me as well (with the mouth being a bit too low I think), but it's still a terrific sculpt and one I'd kill to use for my Deckard.

Seems to have shades of the Enterbay Solo sculpt. In the eyes maybe.

@Timemeddler

I did actually see your Short Round picture a few weeks back and meant to ask you about it, the shirt in particular, but I went and forgot. Sorry.

What shirt did you use? It looks really good. Also can you pose him standing in front of Indy like the scene at the end in the village? That is how I pose mine to see how he compares to Indy. I put ankle extenders on my Indy to get him to look even bigger.

Thanks.

Everything is Star Ace Draco Malfoy - shirt, trousers, shoes. Just re-painted and weathered. I had to go with that stuff to keep everything in scale, but it turned out pretty well. I hate the shoes, but there really is no other option in child size!!!

Hey Time Meddler, I am not familiar with the body you used but I used Barbie sneakers on my Short Round. I used a Kumik child?s body.

Yes I couldn't find any decent ones either so I just sculpted my own and painted them. They are supposed to look scuffed and battered anyways.

@Pjstan

The Kumik young girl body is what I used for Short Round as well. Those sneakers look great on it. Good find!

In other news I changed the hat on my favourite custom Indy and used a small bit of double sided tape on each side of the collar of the Iris jacket. The hat is just the Raiders Sideshow one which I altered with some Super Sculpey.

Greggo did great with my Snyderman Marion (long hair white dress version) sculpt. It feels slightly dated in terms of look (level of detail etc, hair sculpt depth) vs the latest HT but probably holds up better than many of the production sculpts from that 7-10 years ago era. I can post pics. Actually, I think Greggo did better than Silentsurfer did for another buddy of mine who also got the Snyderman Marion - SS painted the eyes a bit too large on his.

Yeah I've always thought that Snyderman Marion was one of the best they've ever done.

And I remember a few years ago Sean Dabbs had started up an interest thread for a Marion figure, but I guess it fizzled out. Which is a shame, because the outfits looked fantastic.

The S-01 body arrived today and I immediately swapped over the outfit to it, adding the Jnix head sculpt as well.

I'm not sure if the following pics capture it, but seeing it in front of me, it definitely looks good. I only wish the arms were a bit less muscled (thick) but I was able to pull the sleeves through and it doesn't look bulky. One of the key things is the width of the shoulders is slightly less than the TT body I previously used.

Need to tweak a little further. Need to also fix the whip holder, as the magnet got unglued.

I'm shocked that you say that the arms are thick? I found them to be on the slimmer side like the Solo arms. What shirt are you using?

But overall, how do you like the body? I feel responsible now.

I'm actually really happy with how the body works for Indy. With the outfit on, it really captures the human proportions great, especially for Harrison Ford.

I do really like the rubber skin material used on the chest, neck and hands. The slightly darker shade matches up perfectly with the Jnix sculpt paint apps.

The arms (biceps) are definitely more thick than the narrow shoulder TT type body that I was using before. But after setting him up, it isn't noticeable at all. I believe I'm using the DX-05 shirt. (need to cut away those little strings...)

I'll be ordering more of these for other custom figures, for sure.

Sincerely thanks for advising this one. Its one of my favorites so far.

I have painted the second one of my new Inigou sculpts. This time I had the eyes lower and also did my party trick of curving the nose by heating it up first.
