If my reissue Spock and Kirk arrive and I really like them (natch), I'll be petitioning for a re-release of McCoy next. I bet I won't be alone either.

I started with Kirk and Spock at QMx and ending with Kirk and Spock.

They will be good (beside using old heads).

Nanjin, you're great and we love your open-ness and info you give us, but what the hell does that mean lol

Is this it for you? Is this it for TOS? Is this it for Trek?

They've boned him so hard over the course of the trek line he's done there. That's what I'm assuming anyway.

I think he means his employment at QMx began with Kirk and Spock, and is also ending at QMx with Kirk and Spock.

Presumably nothing else has changed since he announced he was working for Newson International instead, who are apparently QMx's access point to the factories that make QMx's sixth scale.

When I am a QMx employee handling 1/6, I have to be concern with everything as said, and i also need to be concern of management directions and decisions.

After Kirk and Spock reissue, I will be independent. I will continue to make trek figures, and QMx can choose to buy them, and can have me produce them. Of course, they can have someone else produces them too. I wont be involve in anything else.

The status will change from employment relationship to vendor.

A change in status from employee to independent contractor.

With the licensing it's evident that QMx are the only company that could officially buy them from you.

Unless they were to let the license lapse and you managed to pick it up... then you could put your plans into practise as 'Nanjin Enterprise'. :)

They are the authorized producer. I can only be authorized to produce by them. [emoji1]

Are you working full time for Newson or just working on Star Trek for them? I guess what I am asking is if another company came to Newson and wanted to have them work on a 1/6 line of a different property would you head that up too? With all the knowledge, friendships and skills you have accumulated in the 1/6 manufacturing world I would hate to have that lost if QMX pulls the plug on 1/6. I would love to see companies like Star Ace and even Sideshow go through you to improve their 1/6 productions.

QMX is just a small peanuts operation compared to other 1/6 companies- look carefully all what they have produced in the last two years...I do praise them for getting the TOS crew out but Chekov and Sulu are going to prove extremely weak sellers compared to a TWOK Kirk and Spock or even Seven or Sisko or Archer. They should have done ALL of the Captains from the various shows first and then start going down the line on each show after that. Getting TOS crew out was a great idea but I'm afraid lackluster sales of the second tier characters will damage the line beyond repair...

They should have established at least a mix. Give TNG fans at least a Worf or Data to tide them over

Well nice to hear that Nanjin is still involved with making Trek figures anyway. We're still at the mercy of QMX and what figures they decide to actually produce, but that's been the case since the beginning.

Anyone come to me with some Trek will receive some kind of benefits from me.

I think I have advantage in all phases of 1/6 production.

Playmates took this route. They were correct

If my Jan plan was taken seriously and was implemented, all captains were on stage this year at SDCC with a flexible production with low quantities requirements.

3Zero was doing something similar to my great plan since 2017. Havent you guys notice their qualities are more standardized and prices didnt increase but lowered a buck or 2?

Since 2017, HT already aware of me working for QMx. They knew I was a new comer with a very different approach then their competitors (I look at 1/6 like addiction similar to gambling). They knew my concept would work because I had no barriers.l among producers and we could be a threat to them if we kept doing the right thing. This is why they are doing IT. They dont need IT, they just want to do the same thing to us as they did to EB.

I am on to something good that's why the giant is looking at me.

Anyone who has money can have some kind of license, but no one able to produce without the connection.

Do you see any company not struggling in 1/6 beside those who are in China?

I'd love to see your work on other licenses Nanjin!

Since you bring up Threezero, I have to ask, did you seen their X-Files Agent Scully figure? Is there a reason they cannot get a female body that's accurate? Her head isn't even the right scale. Hot Toys seems to be the only company that releases females with actual human proportions.

Went home 30 minutes ago to go on lunch break, and the QMx Sulu package was on my doormat. I was worried about how that smirk would look in person, but I gotta say -- I am very pleased! Sulu looks great in hand. Yes, the smirk is there, but for whatever reason it just doesn't bother me when Im looking at the figure. It looks correct from all angles and it definitely without a doubt looks like Sulu. Even his body and posture looks like George Takei. I am a 50 year-old old school Trek fan, and I am detail oriented when it comes to these figures. That's why I love them. If you are a Sulu fan, you will be a happy camper.

In case you care about timing: I ordered from the Gamespot website on Monday, and received him today (Thursday). I cancelled my preorder with Sideshow because they won't even have him until Sept or later. I'm glad I went express route!
