All I want to know is if it is official that it is scrapped and starting from scratch or will ES jus tweak it?
Sounds like he is tweaking the overall statue and doing a completely new head. That's what I am surmising from hints and comments that have been dropped.
I thought he was just adding tweaks to this sculpt with sculpey or wax and redoing the head sculpt? very odd you guys are just assuming this. I personally like the pose and sculpt already, it just needed some minor tweaking.
Cool by Spidey saying that the news is out then
The whole statue has been scrapped. Sosa is now doing it
XM got them beat on Hawkeye and the IM MK 42...that's for darn sure! I feel they have the best Hulk face as well...but that is opinion...just like your opinion of XM not being able to do a headsculpt. What you should in fact be saying, is that every artist that makes statues for them (i.e. Tony Cipriano, Mufizal, •Ioannis Karathomas, Suheryanto Hatmaja, and •Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra) don't know how to do headsculpts.
I will take the Black Widow XM headsculpts (both short hair and redone long hair) over the SS Black Widow any day.
But hey, this is all subjective. I for one like the headsculpts and have no problem with them. That's just me.
Sosa is going to revisiting the head sculpts and working on all the improvements people have asked for.

That is something that has been nagging at me for some time. I have already put in my deposits for a couple of XM's pieces, so I am serious about owning some of their works and seeing them succeed. Not cool.... This wasn't our news to share

My problem has been with the apparent proliferation of actual XM "insiders," or, worse yet, "insider wannabes" who have no official connection with XM Studios but seem to have no filters when it comes to divulging information which may or may not be appropriate for sharing with the collecting community at a certain point. Rampant speculation can all too often turn into baseless rumor which isn't a good thing. I am not associated with XM but, if it were my company, I would be very careful about who is told what, and where it is acceptable to share that information. I would hate to see over anxious hangers-on, with no real intention of laying down hard-earned cash for their products, irritate the XM guys, or even cause them some grief because something that was supposed to remain under wraps is let out too early for the community to openly discuss.
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the WIP pics and am grateful for a company which affords us collectors some early peaks into their processes, as well as listening to suggestions. I do think it would be wise, though, to respect XM as a growing business, and treat it as such. For us, XM is another opportunity to pick up some high quality collectibles. For them, it is their livelihoods.

Completely agree, great post.
"Insider wanna be's"
The man still makes the point though, there's folk on this site that just like the forum and the interaction, they don't actually buy this stuff. It's a good post with lots of valid points.
