First up is my Mimban TK. The second thing I made after my Fett helmet was the Mimban TK’s sniper plate (it’s not a data processing dome).

Next I painted up the armor. First I went over a few key areas with a Tamiya weathering pen, I used mud of course, but I didn't apply it directly to the armor, I rubbed a little onto my thumb and then rubbed my thumb onto the armor where I wanted that red/orang color to be. Then I went into the real paint work. I mostly used gray, brown, and barely a touch of green. I laid down multiple layers, wet, then dabbed with a paper towel. After each layer was dry, I used a dry wirey scrubbing sponge and lightly scrubbed over the dry paint.
Next I wanted to add some clumpy, textured mud to a few places. I used some of the earth/terrain you can buy for model train sets, and mixed it onto my paint with some matte medium for some areas, and gloss medium for other areas. I applied it to the places that made the most sense to me, keeping in mind how the Trooper might move, and how gravity would affect the mud. Once it was dry I wiped the whole figure down with a cloth to get any loose "mud" off the figure, so the look wasn't overwhelming.
I went over everything and added some scratches and chipped mud etc. The last thing I did after assembling the sniper plate and attaching it to the helmet, was to flick some gloss paint to add a sort of rain effect.

Here’s what the final paint job looks like. The "rain drops" are very subtle, but you can see them on the blaster rifle in this pic. Also, ignore the fuzz on the top of the helmet. I was touching up the paint with a Tamiya weathering set, and I used a cotton swab, and some of the fine threads of cotton got pulled off by the textured mud. It was easily removed with some tweezers though.

The plan for this weekend is to scratch build the ammo pouches. None of the Vietnam era ammo pouches available in 1/6 scale are large enough to look accurate.
I’m also planning on finishing the cloak. So far I have dyed it black, hemmed it up slightly, and wired it. I’ve also replaced the brass eyelets with hand cut and (horribly) hand stitched leather grommets, like the cloaks worn in SOLO. The grommets will look better once I've weathered the cloak.
Next I need to distress, and weather the cloak. Here’s some progress pics of the cloak so far.

Holy crap I’m out of practice with shaping a wired cloak. This was a total PITA. It’s totally worth it though.
Still need to weather the cloak, which I may be able to get done today. After that It’s just scratch building the ammo pouch bandolier.

I came up with an idea for how to maintain the waves that I wired into the hem of the cloak, for the fabric stiffener and water treatment. I used chopsticks and ran them up the inside of the cloak, then doused it with the fabric stiffener with a little water mixed in so it didn’t clog the spray bottle. I also had to wrap the figure in plastic wrap to protect it from the fabric stiffener.
I just finished using the hairdryer on it, and shaping it with my hand, and always tugging the cloak downward so it dries in a way that gives it the illusion of gravity affecting the cloak the way it does in life sized.
I think it looks pretty good in the last pic. Now to weather the whole thing.

That's looking phenomenal and the idea of creating the folds with chopsticks was pretty cool. Definitely looks natural and weighty.
