Would downloading the file for XNAlara and exporting to Blender to get a 3d head work? I'm planning on getting this file:
Yakuza 5 - Kazuma Kiryu by eddiehimselfstolemyu on DeviantArt

and exporting it as an obj. Once it's in Blender I'd set the scale and remove the body so that only the head and neck would remain. Would that give me a good enough head to work with for a custom? Granted I'm new to this, so photorealism isn't exactly my goal. I just want to learn. I recently purchased this figure:

I hate the headsculpt and would like to do something else.

So, I just tried it. It totally does work. Hair isn't great and a few features would need to be modeled further, but it definitely give you your base line which is really cool.
