Working 1/6 flare-Punisher

Ok, I may be going a little overboard here, but I want to make a working 1/6 flare that won't damage the fig when activated. Any ideas. All i really want it for is for a few photos then that's it.

It's for the Punisher, & want to make the build 100% accurate

All I can think of is a bit off a kids sparkler, then photoshop the image with pinkish tones

Ive seen some excellent smoke produced by using cotton wool, maybe an led surrounded by sculpted cotton wool then hair sprayed or sprayed with a matte varnish to hold it in place and still retain the fluffiness of the cotton

I honestly dont think a sparkler would work 1. it would probably damage the figure and 2 it would have to be long (and thus innaccurate) to last

Yeah, I was gonna snip a bit off the sparkler but I think the cotton is a better idea. Then maybe just light it pink from the side & photograph
