I can't believe no one has mentioned the gun from Painkiller that shoots shurikens and lightning. SHURIKENS. and. LIGHTNING.

Not to mention in the same game you get a gun that shoots like 3 foot long wooden stakes like 6 inches in diameter...

1. Proximity Mines (Goldeneye 007)

Proxies RULE. The best was putting them on the armor. Lot of good choices in this thread. Only one I can think to ass is the Heat-seeking Rocket Launcher in Crackdown.

Dude those proxie mines were the best in goldeneye. I remember just lacing the bathroom and doorways with those and waiting for one of my friends to walk through at the right moment. Insta-kill!!!!

Well, considering this is about my favourite weapons, not necessarily the best, here's my list
1) Spartan Laser (Halo series)
2) Ride armors (Mega Man X series)
3) Master sword (Legend of Zelda)
4) Kuribo's shoe (Mario 3)
5) End-of-the-game Beam (Super Metroid)

Runner up: Metal gear solid 3 weird random stuff (ie magazines, caged animals, croc cap etc.)

Dante's Ebony and ivory duel pistols from Devil May Cry spring to mind.

I also really loved the MP5 and G36C on COD4.

Krato's flaming blades are genius. Can't beat the bond pistols we've seen over the years as well, the P99 in the Quantom of Solace game etc.

I've always loved Solid Snake's weapons as well, the USP with silencer, FAMAS and Naked Snake's custom M9 was bad ass.

Oooo oooh, yeah, Ezio and Altair's hidden blade(s) are also awesome.

2. Any Shot Gun from any of the Resident Evil games all ways love the shot gun in those games.
