This is Ghost in the Shell Major Kusanagi all over again.

All are terribly outdated.

All are terribly outdated.

You know what is never outdated? A good likeness. I would rather have a head that looks Gillian Anderson than some over textured, over painted, and over priced digital head that looks her teenage boy stunt double. That is why I never got excited about this release in the first place.

The Threezero likeness is better than all those unauthorized heads though. The Sideshow likeness is better than those heads. The Barbie likeness is better.

The heads look bad though.

The guy wants $150 each for his Scully custom heads...he should be brought up on charges.

If it's one fifty completely painted then it'd be considered a fair price in the customs hobby. If it's that much for nothing but a casting it's pretty dumb.

I believe you can get unpainted sculpts for $60 or so if you contact him, which is what I did with his Venkman a couple years ago.

I agree these ones are looking a bit outdated though, and aren't among his better likenesses.

Well I won't be getting Scully now. Really no point if the head is too small.

Very concerning about Threezero with female figures such as Cersei and Brienne on the horizon. Are they going to have this same issue? They have screwed up The Major, Daenerys and now Scully. Are they incapable of producing a correctly scaled adult woman?

To be honest most people just want something cheap and quick. They'll never realize $150 for a finished head is a good deal. They don't account for the artist having to spend time perfecting the sculpt, building the mold, pouring the casts, cleaning the casts and painting the head.

In the past I've broke it down for customers who try to low ball me. For example lets say it only takes a forty hour work week to accomplish some of what I mentioned above. So, for forty hours of work at a hundred and fifty dollars earns me less than four dollars an hour. Most people won't even roll out of bed for $3.75 an hour. So you're getting a pretty good deal despite what you think.

That's a discussion no one wins because everyone has a perceived value. As much or little work that was put into those sculpts I don't see $150 worth, while others do. It seems people are buying his sculpts at $150 or he wouldn't have them at that price, or he doesn't care if they sell and that's what he wants for them.

I'm mostly speaking in averages. Take whatever you feel is a mid grade finished head and apply that pricing. Either way it ends up a somewhat good deal overall. On my personal scale the Snyderman sculpts would be in the one to one twenty five range and based on that you might say they're overpriced. Not by all that much though.

The whole hobby is built around what is something worth to the individual. Every one of us has bought at least one thing in our collection that if others knew what we paid, we'd probably be laughed at or worse.

Unfortunately there are those who use the anonymity of internet and attack things from their personal point of view as though it were the only one, that's where it's uncalled for. If someone doesn't think a piece is good or worth the price being asked for it, there's no harm in saying so, but to act as though the artist or company asking for the price they are on the piece is crazy or insulting or something like that is unnecessary. At the end of the day, collectibles are a modern form of art, not every form is for everyone but doesn't devalue it or the effort behind it.

You’re not supposed to show pics of the entire figures together! It goes against the narrative!

Please delete those photos and replace them with pictures of the heads only. If you could position the Mulder head a little closer to the camera to exaggerate the size difference too that’d be great.
