So after seeing this week's Walking Dead, I'm very happy with the season so far, but I'm not too sure about one of the developments. If you haven't watched Sunday night's ep, don't read the spoiler...
So we have someone in the group that killed the two people that showed signs of the illness. I think there's only three ways this can turn out, and I'm not thrilled with two of them
First, it could be one of our favorite gang that we know well. Problem is, we don't have any douchebags in the group right now. There isn't any of the regulars that I'm going to feel good about having done this.
That leaves the who knows how many (which is another thing that bugs me) of the new folks. Odds are they did it, but that's going to seem a bit hollow, since we don't know any of them yet. While it might be interesting to see how the group handles its first 'crime' with the larger group, I won't be all that emotionally invested in the outcome.
That leaves the third option. It's the kids. We know them a bit, and since they are kids, we already have empathy. They could do something like this and it make a little more sense - most adults should be smart enough to know that people already showing symptoms have already had time to infect everyone else, and killing them isn't going to help a whole lot. But the kids might think they were doing something to help the group, and they could kill them in their sleep the way that Carol was showing them to dispense with people that were bit. Having that scene in there also makes more sense in that context.
We shall see!
