Finally had a good sit down to look over the figure. I'm not bothered that it's not from any specific film. It's a cool looking figure. The chevron is centered (at least to my eye). The left mark is larger than the right. That kind of bothered me. During posing it gets forgotten and doesn't stick out like the misaligned chevron. It also appears that they are all like that. Whether it was a mistake or not we will probably never know. Although, the left foot popping out is annoying I don't think it's broken. It's just not made well on some and tends to pop off easily. He's not a character that's in any kind of extreme pose. It doesn't pop out on it's own. It's not a real issue (to me). A second portrait would have been sweet, so would have been a better base. You do see where some of the money went in producing this figure ie. torso, arms, etc., but it is still overpriced. You compare this figure to a figure in this price range and things don't match up. If you've been in the hobby long enough you don't need to know the in's and out's of a company to know that it's too expensive for what you get. This is not to diminish the figure. I'm glad I have it. I would recommend that you take out the neck plug. It looks better with the head sitting closer to the neck. It looks more natural. It flows better.

Regarding overpriced, you do know the cost of shipping has gone up in the last year when that big shipping company folded, right?

Couple that with cost increases in materials and licensing and you have the new normal for pricing.

Price-wise you actually believe this is comparable in quality and accessories to what's in the market?

I have no idea what the F13 license costs so it's hard for me to make a comparable determination. Given the recent F13 license shake-up, I don't imagine it was reasonably priced for SS to acquire it

Fair enough. Neither do I.

However, SS offering $20-$30 discounts makes it difficult for me to believe it isn't overpriced.

On a side note: it seems this figures comes in 2 batches. Second batch won't be out until Q4.

The longer I've had this figure, the more I've grown to like him.

Re-watching all 12 films has helped. As a first Jason it's probably a good place to start: the beginning of the 'classic' hockey-masked appearance.

I wonder, with the success of their recent releases, whether Sideshow will venture further into the series again? I wouldn't mind a hulking Hodder zombie version.

It would be interesting where, if anywhere, this lines goes.

I received 4 PMs with addresses for the Chevrons (Patriot666, SilentSurfer, Sir Gor and harvey2face). They're all addressed, stamped and ready to be dropped off.

The decals are pretty straight forward and work like what you'd expect. If you've never worked with them before, you can look up tutorials; but basically 1) cut out the shape (I'd recommend as close to the red as possible) 2) dip the decals pieces one at a time in warm water 3) slide the decal off the white backing and 4) position the decal where you want it to go and let it dry.

If the placement isn't to your liking, put a drop of water on the decal and it should lift up and be able to be moved around, but don't do this too much as the decals are thin and can get damaged. I included a extra set of decals just in case you have any problems.

If you can, making the surface shiny first will help them stick better. What I do is use a spray glosscoat (testors makes one in spray can for $5). Spray one coat, let it dry. Apply the decals, get them where you like and once those are dry apply another coat of the gloss to seal them in place.

I have quite a few left, so if anyone else needs a set just send me a PM, with your name and address and I'll get them mailed out after next week after I get back from a vacation.

Just got mine in, QC on this is pathetic... His right foot fell off as soon as I lifted him out of the package, The Sliver button on his left pocket fell off (The glue seems super weak on the buttons) Overall he looks very average, doesn't really resemble Brooker's part 3 jason at all. The mask is wayyy 2009 Remake and the head sits high. The lack of removable mask, bloody alt sculpt is disappointing... I honestly might return this and stick to NECA when it comes to horror figures.
