If you want to practice...pick up a cheap-o portrait on ebay...refine your skill on it...then when you want to venture on to the actual GI Joe sculpt that you want to re-paint...buy an extra to do it on. You can usually find them fairly reasonably if you are patient and dilligent.

That is what I am going to do. All I am really waiting for is to get a place set up to work.
