Whats reasonable though? I always see people post something like this, especially on OSR and it confuses me. I mean we're all trying to get something for cheaper than eBay etc, but when H+C are going for 1,500-1,800 I'm just curious what reasonable is. Hope this doesn't come off as me being a d*ck I'm just legitimately curious.
I'm going to guess $1000-1200.

I see yodasan is trying to be funny....but in all honesty...the price gouging that often occurs here is quite hilarious( not really)....people around here are custom scalpers and try to pass it off as what the value of a custom is...and I guess there is nothing wrong with that except that that's as much as the problem in these boards as the rampant stealing that occurs in these same boards...
when I missed out on this I was pissed at the fact that it was a website problem...but now that RM has deliverd....it has now become a greed problem...I mean I've been quoted 3000 + down to 1000 for H+C sets...and this was even before the butcher was delivered...I use to feed into these frenzies but lately....I just look at some of you and think???are you really collection or are you looking to cash in...?...it sucks because most of the time....they want to cash in on the overzealousness eyes of others....but whatever....congrats to all that got him and an even bigger congrats to those that flip him for a "strong" gain...

I honestly think it's just worth more to them than you're willing to pay. I wouldn't sell my v2 right now for 1500. straight up, even if you offered it - and that is 3 times what i paid.
That being said - I'm sure you can find someone who is willing to split with this piece for a reasonable price. patience is a virtue.

Na...I'm not stressing it anymore...I had 3 people back out after working out some deals...I think they wanted more money because that seemed to be the prevalent issue...after they saw other people selling it much higher ala the king of all ...eBay...

well honestly levit, ebay prices are market prices. The auction Phil put up was auctioned up to that price so that's what people are willing to pay at the moment. I bet when Torrence gets put up, people will part with V2, or just sit and wait a while. You'll get one brother, I believe in you!

Bad time to buy man. The hype machine is rolling full-force, and in the midst there are entire runs of corrections being made by other artists.
Give it half a year and go then go shopping.

I agree... but i guess this discussion is futile. I personally feel, draw a line, probably (1.5x) and then let go. I have it, i Love it, but it surely is not worth spending 2-3k aftermarket. I would spend 3k if that was an initial launch price on something, knowing its going to the artist, but aftermarket... no way... anyways bud, i wish you luck, hope you find a good reasonable seller, or just wait a bit ... but i feel really sad that you have been chasing for this for a long time now without any luck. i rather have him make more so people dont face these issues, but that is also a brick wall.

I know it's easier to say than to do, but you know that in a few months, there will be a few available at more reasonable prices. Several collectors buy and sell to cover the cost of the next project. It's understandable, not everyone has an extra $1000 sitting around. Not referring to you, but in the age of self gratification, prices skyrocket because of the must have mentality. There will be buyers remorse, unexpected bills that arise, something bigger and better they want, etc. It's just like in autograph collecting, as soon as a ball player passes away, the price of their signature goes way up. The buyer could have had the item beforehand at half the price and if they are patient, it will come back down in the near future. But those who have to have it right now, they are the ones who create the false market value. The higher the price gets at the beginning, the more suddenly become available, then the price goes back down.
