1/6 CUSTOM FIGURE

HI,SAMURAIS

HERE IS MY LATEST WIP PROJECT OF THE LAST SAMURAI.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TO USE 3DS MAX,RHINO PROGRAMS FOR MODELLING SOME PART
OF THIS FIGURE BUT STILL PREFERRED HANDSCULPT FOR THE HEAD.
IN THIS PROJECT I’VE ALSO DESIGN A DIORAMA STAND FOR THIS FIGURE.
I CHOSSE A ZEN MINIMALISM CONCEPT TO DESIGN IT.THE STAND’LL BE MADE WITH SOLID WOOD
WITH JAPANESE LETTERS ENGRAVING AND IT’LL COME WITH CHANGEABLE BASE PART.
THE ARMOR ‘LL BE CASTED IN BRASS AND SOMEPARTS ARE LEATHER.THERE ARE A LOT OF DETAILS TO WORKIN ON.
I JUST WANT TO SHARE MY WIP.HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT.

lots great! just curious, will the plate armor cording be sculpted or will you use actual cording to attach the plates to each other? While tedious, real cording would be the best choice. The details you got are amazing!

to use the real cording is also my idea for this figure.i have solve this in my head for times.
first,i design the armor with each plates are separated and the budget for mold is too high and it's hard too control the price.
second,i try to sculpt cording with plate(like the shown pics) and i think it's not good enough.
and now i'm thinking about make holes for cording to apply real cording with unseparated plates.
